Specialist, Business Finance Commercial

We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and results-oriented finance professional with strong leadership skills to join our team in Costa Rica. This role is a key part of the finance strategy, serving as a Finance Business Partner for both commercial and operational areas. The ideal candidate combines a solid technical background in Controlling with a business-oriented mindset, independently managing deliverables and providing recommendations that drive regional growth.

What will you do?

  • Commercial Business Partnering: Serve as the link between financial and commercial strategy, providing direct support to the Head of Finance for Central America (CAM).


  • Commercial Financial Support: Act as a financial partner to the sales teams, evaluating the financial impact of commercial strategies and providing strategic analysis to support decision-making.


  • Order and Sales Review: Analyze, validate, and monitor the sales pipeline, order intake, and revenue forecasts.


  • Margin Analysis: Monitor and evaluate business profitability, identifying variances, risks, and opportunities for margin optimization.


  • Budget Control: Manage planning, monitoring, and analysis of commercial budgets, reporting variances against targets.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Financial Management, or Accounting.
  • General Experience: Approximately 5 years of professional experience.
  • Specific Experience: Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in Controlling roles, preferably supporting commercial functions.
  • Competencies: Proactive mindset, commercial acumen, strong analytical and summarization skills, and ability to work independently
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel.
  • SAP is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced English.
