Schneider Electric Hub in Novi Sad is a global High-Value Engineering and Support Center for Smart Grid solutions. We develop, deliver, and support the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) used by utilities worldwide.

As a Support-Oriented SCADA/ADMS Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring system stability, customer satisfaction, and continued success after the project implementation phase.

What will you do

As part of our Support Team, you will use your ADMS/SCADA expertise and customer-centric approach to ensure a reliable and high-quality operation of ADMS systems throughout their lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

Customer Support, Production Stability & Post-Cutover Ownership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers during testing, go-live, and production support phases.
  • Take ownership of the ADMS/SCADA system after project cutover, transitioning it from the Project Execution team into Support for long-term maintenance, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide structured triage, technical analysis, and timely communication to resolve customer-reported issues.
  • Ensure system reliability through proactive monitoring, risk identification, and close collaboration with other teams in our organization.
  • Support incident resolution and customer escalations, providing clear documentation and progress reporting.

SCADA / ADMS Technical Responsibilities
  • Validate that the implemented SCADA/ADMS solution meets customer requirements and remains supportable after go-live.
  • Prepare and manage deployment packages, ensuring consistency across multi-site or multi-server environments.
  • Contribute to design discussions for feature enhancements, patch integrations, and customer change requests.
  • Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and verify new code, ensuring compatibility with existing configurations.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios covering functional testing, regression testing, communication testing, and failover testing.
  • Document results and package the full delivery for customer sign‑off.
  • Troubleshoot communication problems using protocols such as IEC101/104, DNP3, ICCP, Modbus, and IEC61850.
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer from Project Teams to Support to ensure smooth handover and uninterrupted customer service.

Collaboration, Processes & Continuous Improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with Project Engineers, test engineers, project managers, and Development teams.
  • Improve support processes by contributing to knowledge base articles, runbooks, and best-practice guidelines.
  • Help prioritize customer feature requests, service enhancements, and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in internal initiatives aimed at improving response quality, process robustness, and customer satisfaction.

What will make you successful:



Education & Experience
  • University degree in Power Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA architecture, protocols, and utility operations.
  • Experience in issue triage, data validation, or production system support is an advantage.

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of SCADA protocols (IEC101/104, DNP3, ICCP).
  • Experience with Modbus and IEC61850 is a plus.
  • Understanding of ADMS concepts, verification processes, and support workflows.

Soft Skills
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).
  • Customer-first mindset, strong ownership, and a collaborative attitude.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to operate in dynamic environments.
  • A passion for continuous learning and refining customer experience.
