Shipping Supervisor

Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Supervisor in El Paso, TX. In this role, you will lead daily shipping operations, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate, on‑time delivery of customer orders. You will collaborate cross‑functionally, oversee a team of shipping personnel, and support Schneider Electric's commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What will you do?

  • Identify, update, and optimize work procedures; prepare work schedules and manage workflow priorities.
  • Provide clear written and verbal instructions to team members.
  • Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Standardize processes and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify, lead, and execute continuous‑improvement initiatives within the shipping function.
  • Ensure accurate and timely shipment of all customer orders.
  • Manage and process freight claims as needed.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to inventory, deliveries, and sales orders; provide periodic reports and updates to management.
  • Lead efforts to identify and resolve shipping barriers or constraints.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for material handling and providing strategies aligned with the Schneider Production System.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the Quality Management System.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience directly supervising employees (e.g., performance appraisals, corrective actions, hiring/onboarding, setting and achieving departmental goals).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with shipping operations and shipping processes.
  • Strong proficiency in PC applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems or ERP systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated and committed to driving improvements and achieving results.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities autonomously.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with other departments and plant locations.
