Services Sales Account Manager (Government)

Join us as a Services Sales Account Manager (Government) and drive growth by unlocking the full potential of our installed base. You'll promote a comprehensive Services portfolio-from consulting to modernization-while building lasting customer partnerships.

What will you do?

  • Develop and grow customer relationships across assigned accounts or territories, identifying opportunities to create demand and expand services adoption.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs, pain points, asset lifecycle considerations, and business priorities, and by positioning appropriate service solutions.
  • Drive sales of the services portfolio across relevant business areas, including technical services, maintenance, upgrades, recurring contracts, and project-based solutions.
  • Lead or support customer-facing sales opportunities from early engagement through proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
  • Build account plans and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools, including opportunity tracking, forecasting, and account-planning discipline.
  • Monitor commercial performance, including margins and compliance with approval thresholds, and escalate exceptions through the proper governance process where needed.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as marketing, tendering, operations, service execution, and key account teams to ensure high-quality customer solutions and strong execution outcomes.
  • Support customer satisfaction by maintaining visibility over ongoing orders, delivery, and service execution, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Gather market, competitor, and customer insights and translate them into actionable feedback for the business to strengthen offers, positioning, and account strategies.

  • Negotiation - developing level; structuring service agreements that deliver value for customers and the business

What qualifications will make you successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in B2B sales, solution selling, account management, or services sales, preferably in a technical, industrial, infrastructure, or building-related environment.
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships, generate opportunities, and manage opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including proposal support, negotiation awareness, forecast discipline, and margin sensitivity.
  • Comfort using CRM and digital tools to manage pipeline, activity, and performance.
  • Strategic thinking - can connect customer needs, market trends, and business priorities into a clear account growth approach.
  • Influence and stakeholder leadership - can build credibility with customers, internal teams, and senior stakeholders, including C-level contacts, and can influence outcomes without relying on hierarchy.
  • Customer-centric problem solving - understands customer pain points and can shape practical, value-based solutions.
  • Ownership and accountability - takes initiative, follows through, and maintains high standards in both commercial and operational execution.
  • Learning agility - is curious, coachable, and able to quickly build knowledge across services, products, customers, and commercial processes.
  • Collaboration and team leadership - works effectively across functions and contributes positively to the broader team environment.
  • Experience in consultative or technical sales within services, maintenance, lifecycle solutions, retrofit, upgrade, or recurring contract environments.
  • Exposure to one or more technical domains such as power systems, secure power, industrial automation, digital energy, building systems, or adjacent infrastructure environments.
