Position Overview

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide dedicated on-site support at a strategic customer facility. This customer-facing role combines technical service delivery, operational support, digital transformation initiatives, and business development activities to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and lifecycle performance of the customer's critical power infrastructure.

The successful candidate will act as Schneider Electric's primary on-site representative, building strong customer relationships, delivering technical expertise, supporting day-to-day operational activities, and driving the adoption of digital services and monitoring solutions. The role will also play a key part in identifying opportunities for service growth, modernisation projects, energy efficiency improvements, and lifecycle upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Service & Operational Support

  • Provide dedicated on-site support for Schneider Electric Secure Power equipment and digital monitoring platforms.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
  • Coordinate with Schneider Electric service teams, technical support, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Asset management, lifecycle support services and maintain accurate service records.
  • Modifications and upgrades to existing installed equipment.
  • Supervise contractor activities where required.


Customer Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary Schneider Electric point of contact on-site.
  • Develop trusted working relationships with customer operations, facilities, engineering, and management teams.
  • Provide technical recommendations that improve system reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and responsive support.


Digital Transformation & Connected Services
  • Drive adoption and utilization of Schneider Electric digital service offerings, EcoStruxure platforms, and connected solutions.
  • Support development and integration of remote monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational intelligence through data analytics and asset performance insights.


Business Development & Growth
  • Actively identify opportunities for service contract expansion, modernisation projects, lifecycle replacements, battery upgrades, digital services, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Work closely with sales and account management teams to support business growth within the customer account.
  • Capture customer requirements and develop recommendations aligned with site operational goals.
  • Promote Schneider Electric's full portfolio of services and solutions through regular engagement with stakeholders.


Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Schneider Electric and customer safety requirements.
  • Support site safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Participate in risk assessments, method statement reviews, and permit-to-work processes.

Candidate Profile
  • Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience working on critical power systems, UPS systems, electrical distribution equipment, or data centre infrastructure. Schneider Electric UPS product training desirable.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working directly within customer environments and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Understanding of digital monitoring platforms, network-connected equipment, or industrial digitalisation technologies is desirable.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for service improvement and business growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider Schneider Electric teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Valid full driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to Schneider Electric training facilities for technical training and professional development.

For this Ireland based position, the expected pay range is EUR 52,800 - EUR 79,200 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the Ireland. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
