Senior Test Manager
For this U.S. based position, the total expected compensation range is $150,000 - $210,000 per year, which includes base salary pay and yearly short-term compensation incentive.

Job Summary
Schneider Electric is seeking a strategic Senior Test Manager within the Energy Management Business Unit, Power Products Division NAM to lead test activities for R&D offers.
This role plays a key part in ensuring Power Products achieve best-in-class quality, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance, enabling successful and timely product launches. Reporting to the Director of Engineering for Systems, Test, and Safety, you will provide leadership for test activities covering digital and electromechanical Power Products-including electronics and embedded software-within a matrix and agile R&D organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
• Define and drive the test vision and strategy for Power Products NAM, including methods, tools, skills, and best practices.
• Lead, coach, and develop the test organization, supporting technical excellence, leadership growth, and career development.
• Manage performance reviews, development plans, and all associated HR actions.
• Define recruitment needs and actively participate in hiring and onboarding, in close collaboration with HR and technical stakeholders.
Operational & Project Management
• Coordinate test activities across multiple Power Product development programs.
• Align and balance workload with project priorities, timelines, and team competencies.
• Monitor execution and deliverables to ensure commitments are met in terms of quality, cost, and schedule.
• Act as a neutral interface across projects, supporting prioritization and arbitration when needed.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and external test laboratories.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
• Provide technical oversight and guidance for test activities, including functional, robustness, and reliability testing.

• Serve as the primary test interface for engineering, quality, manufacturing, and certification stakeholders.
• Ensure test infrastructures are available, maintained, and evolving to meet NAM product and regulatory needs.
• Provide regular reporting on test status, risks, and performance to engineering leadership.
• Lead or contribute to transversal improvement initiatives and deployment of new test practices.
Compliance, Quality & Certification
• Ensure test activities support compliance with North American standards and certifications (UL, CSA, NEC, FCC, EMC/EMI).
• Support certification testing, audits, and technical reviews through robust test strategies and documentation.
• Promote design-for-testability and design-for-reliability early in the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelors Degree (Master's preferred) in a related engineering field
• Strong interest in technology, organizational effectiveness, and people leadership.
• Comfortable managing complex, multi-project programs in a matrix organization.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering development for power systems, electrical distribution, or industrial products.
• 5+ years of direct people-management experience leading test teams in a regulated product development environment
• Significant experience in testing, verification, and validation of complex, connected products.
• Proven experience in functional or matrix management within an R&D or product development environment.
• Experience with electrical distribution products and technologies.
Preferred
• Strong understanding of low-voltage Power Products, such as:
o MCCB, MCB, ACB, protection accessories
o Digital breakers, smart sensing, trip units
o Automatic Transfer Switches
• Knowledge of electromechanical systems, including:
o Power electronics
o Embedded electronics and firmware interactions
o Sensors, communications, and HMI interfaces
Your Skills
• Strong expertise in product test activities (verification & validation experience; IVVQ certification is a plus).
• Experience with JAMA, Jira, Git, and GitHub.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously while meeting commitments.
• Strong rigor, autonomy, and organizational capability.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Fluent English required.
• Knowledge of Power Products / low-voltage systems (e.g., circuit breakers, protection devices) is a strong plus.
