Senior Software Engineer II
- As part of Schneider Electric's Energy Management - Channel Partner Software Design League R&D team in India, you will provide technical leadership across architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery of high-quality software that enables the selling of Schneider Electric products, solutions, and services. This is a highly hands-on role, where you will spend approximately 80% of your time coding and the remaining time reviewing the work of other developers, providing technical direction, and ensuring alignment with the strategy defined by the Software Platform Architect.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
•
Own architectural decisions and end-to-end technical design for features, modules, and services.
•
Translate complex product requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions.
•
Lead technical discussions on architecture, system design, API contracts, cloud-native patterns, and UI front-end architecture.
•
Enforce coding standards, SOLID principles, design patterns, and overall engineering excellence.
•
Conduct deep-dive design and code reviews; mentor engineers and build team capability.
•
Drive technical investigations, PoCs, modernization, and performance engineering initiatives.
•
Ensure all solutions align with the technical direction set by the Software Platform Architect.
Full-Stack Development (Hands-On - 80%)
•
Design and build responsive, performant UI components using Angular, StencilJS, and TypeScript.
•
Develop backend services and microservices using ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core (C#).
•
Build robust RESTful APIs, ensuring consistency, security, and scalability.
•
Deliver clean, reusable, maintainable code with strong adherence to SOLID and design best practices.
•
Troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack.
Quality, Testing & DevOps
•
Maintain high quality standards through unit tests, integration tests, and automated test frameworks (xUnit, Jest).
•
Support and guide UI/API test automation initiatives.
Public
•
Champion CI/CD best practices with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and containerized pipelines.
•
Lead cloud-native deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and KEDA for event-driven autoscaling.
•
Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and security across services and deployments.
Collaboration & Delivery Ownership
•
Work closely with Product Owners, architects, and engineering teams to refine requirements, plan sprints, and estimate work.
•
Ensure timely, high-quality feature delivery with ownership from design through deployment.
•
Present architecture choices, technical decisions, and sprint outcomes to stakeholders.
•
Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration to drive consistent engineering practices.
Documentation & Governance
•
Produce and maintain clear architectural, design, and technical documentation.
•
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, platform tooling, and development standards.
Mandatory Skills
•
Strong hands-on full-stack development expertise with TypeScript, Angular, StencilJS, C#, ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core.
•
Deep understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and distributed systems.
•
Proven experience creating scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.
•
Strong command of SOLID principles, software design patterns, and clean architecture.
•
Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native deployment practices.
•
Working knowledge of KEDA for autoscaling.
•
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and modern DevOps workflows.
•
Skilled with unit and integration testing frameworks including xUnit and Jest.
•
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Highly Preferred Skills
Public
•
Experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault, API Management).
•
Experience with performance tuning, scalability enhancements, and distributed system optimization.
•
Ability to learn and integrate new technologies rapidly.
•
Prior experience in enterprise-scale or large product-based engineering organizations.
•
Strong mentoring and technical review capability.
Education & Experience
•
Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with substantial hands-on full-stack development and technical leadership.
•
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is mandatory (no equivalent degrees considered).
