Senior QA Engineer-Cloud

We are expanding our team in Gurugram and looking for a Senior QA engineer with strong experience in cloud application testing, API validation, and end-to-end feature validation. candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based platforms and microservices. This role demands hands-on technical expertise, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, DevOps, and product teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Feature Testing:
    • Perform end-to-end validation of cloud features deployed across microservices, serverless components, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
    • Validate cloud workflows, integrations, and user journeys across distributed systems.
    • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on cloud-based applications.
  • API & Microservices Testing:
    • Design, execute, and automate API test suites using tools like Postman, RestAssured, Swagger, or similar.
    • Validate payloads, API responses, authentication mechanisms, error codes, and performance behaviors.
  • Automation & Framework Contribution:
    • Build and enhance automated test scripts for API, backend, and cloud workflows.
    • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps).
    • Improve automation coverage and contribute to framework enhancements.
  • Test Planning and Design:
    • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to cover all aspects of software functionality.
    • Ensure test setup and test env preparedness.
    • Identify test data requirements and prepare test data sets.
    • Review of test cases (TC) ensure coverage of tests as per the Test strategy.
  • Test Execution:
    • Execute manual and automated tests to verify software functionality, performance, and usability.
    • Log and track defects using bug tracking tool Jira.
    • Review of test results so that products are defect free and meets stated & implied requirements.

  • Mentorship:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of quality within the team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience with deep expertise in cloud testing.
  • Experience in designing and executing test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with API automation and tools like Postman and Playwright API.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with experience in Test Management tools like Jira and X-Ray.
  • Experience in performance testing with JMeter.
  • Knowledge of security testing and compliance standards.
  • Understanding of AI-assisted testing tools to enhance script generation and maintenance.
  • Manual Testing: Strong command of functional, usability, integration and system testing of web-based applications.
  • Experience in Smart Buildings, IoT platforms, or cloud-based data intensive systems
  • Expertise in Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) like Functional, Integration, System, Compatibility, Exploratory, Acceptance, smoke, Sanity, Regression testing.
  • Experienced in Requirement analysis, Use-case analysis, change management and configuration management.
  • Experienced in Managing, Coordinating, Planning and executing the testing with multiple cross functional team and Agile process.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain.
  • Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and thrive in a cross-functional environment
