The Sr. Program Manager - Major Project Support ensures the success of the Project Portfolio. S/he works closely with the Project Manager, Project Sales Lead, Project Sponsor, Functional Managers, and the Project Team. The Sr. Program Manager - MPS must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and adapt to a dynamic, potentially geographically dispersed project environment.

MPS Engagements - Execution (CPP P Gates)
- Provide operational support to Project teams managing SE's most complex & largest customer-facing projects. (performance, planning, risk management, structure, financial, etc.)
- Ensure the project's success by emphasizing topics that impact profitability and customer satisfaction, such as risk management, planning, and claims.
- Participation and contribution leading up to and during the identified REL4/5 reviews.
- Support the execution of a portfolio of customer projects that significantly impact overall operational performance and require the strongest coaching and mentoring support selected by the Solution Opportunity Committee.
MPS Engagements - Pursuit (CPP S gates)
- Support the NAM major pursuits/Tenders, helping to establish w ell-defined project-level SOWs, High-quality proposals, Fit-for-purpose value propositions and execution strategies.
Mentoring & Coaching
- Formal mentoring and coaching of Project Managers
- Drive the "Experience" component of TM/PM development through guidance in applying best practices via coaching, mentoring, and direct interface on specific projects.
- Continuous Improvement - P&L
Continuous Improvement - P&L
- Lead the identified and prioritized Pursuit of Improvement initiatives affecting the P/L and resulting in an increase in order intake
- Establish a resource assignment process (person, role, timing)
- Engagement with Commercial Teams
- Identify and align targets.
- Tendering practices
- Scopes of Work written at the total project level prior to quoting
- Project plans are developed from the bottom up with identified billable elements.
- Ensure the risk reserve is appropriately sized and linked to the SOW and the project plan.
Continuous Improvement
- Support the development and implementation of the PM Talent improvement plan for NAM.
- Support the operation of the PM & TM Certification Board Review process.

What Qualifications will make you successful?
- Four-year Engineering Degree/Technical degree.
- More than 15 years of Project Management experience in Large and Complex Projects (Multi-BU, Multi-year, complex contracts).
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and project management/organization skills required.
- Excellent time management and organization skills are required.
- Ability to handle a high volume of complex matters and strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to MS Project, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient in planning and scheduling software, Primavera and MS Projects.
- Project and BU P&L Financial acumen and understanding are required.
- Passionate about customer service and team success required.
- Leadership skills: team building, empowering and delegating authority, and building rapport and consensus are required.
- Thorough understanding of contract management is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective engagement with the stakeholders.
- Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of contract law, codes, standards, and industry knowledge preferred.
