Senior Product Owner

Description of the Role

The Product Owner is a key leadership position who guides a scrum team to create high value releases. They will partner with product managers and R&D leaders to ensure strategy and execution alignment. The Product Owner will define, own, and maintain the backlog. They will set priorities (managing scope and change requests).

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $135,000 - $165,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Ability to manage time while guiding multiple scrum teams.
  • Facilitate and own Sprint Planningand Sprint Release events.
  • Lead story refinement meetings, write User Stories (breaking down Epic level items). Add acceptance criteria as implementation details are flushed out to meet Product Management'sepic level acceptance criteria.
  • Maintains an up-to-date Backlog, prioritized by customer value, and regularly leads backlog refinement meetings
  • Maintain team Roadmap, coordinating with Product Management.
  • G ives final approval for all completed user storiesvia hands-on inspection
  • Skill at explaining technical concepts to non-technical people, while also commanding respect within a technical scrum team
  • Meet regularly with customers and other stakeholders to both defineand prioritize feature enhancements as well as bugs. Potential on-sites for escalations and detailed use case requirements gathering.
  • Manage internal escalations from customer support including prioritization, communication, and resolution .
  • Manage quality issues, application bugs ,and crashes as well as associated mitigation plans. This includes prioritizing the bug list and cleaning it up as well as Azure alerts from production.
  • Organize and manage all releases including the main release, hotfixes, service packsand support PM in planning for future releases.
  • Projects release dates based on team historical velocity and backlog size
  • Prioritize and track progress on security review


Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of experience as a Product Owner with a track recordof releasing projects on time with quality standards upheld and no functional concessions
  • Significant e xperienceas a presenter to both customers & internal leaders and stakeholders, with experience in saying 'No' when required.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills .
  • Knowledge of an agile framework or method ( e.,Scrum, Kanban), an in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles would be an advantage.
  • Decision making : the ability to make decisions, even tough ones, and guide the team towards achieving the product vision.
  • Analytical skills : the ability to analyze data, understand customer feedback and make data driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements and bugs resolution.
  • Adaptability : the ability to adapt to changes, quickly respond to any change and open to adjusting priorities based on evolving business needs.
