Senior Mechanical Engineer
Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Hopkins, SC.
Job Description: Design and application of Low Voltage switchgear and switchboards based on customer plans and specifications. Audit Bill of Material (BOM) for standard product offerings prior to manufacturing process. Complete new designs to meet customer needs outside of standard product offerings. Utilize 3D modeling software to design and model switchgear and switchboards. Be involved in various projects intended to improve overall quality, efficiency, and/or robustness of products. Maintain schedules and a high level of customer service. Interact with field sales personnel, project managers, end users and plant manufacturing associates. Remote eligible up to 2 dys/wk.
Requirements: Position requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (2 years with Master's or 4 years with Bachelor's) in mechanical design engineering in a manufacturing environment, or related occupation, which must include the following experience: 2 years using CAD software in a professional environment; 2 years interaction with field sales personnel, project managers, or customers; 2 years of mechanical design within the limitations of manufacturing tools; 2 years creating of technical drawings for fabrication; and 2 years of experience mentoring and creating training documents.
