Senior Manager, Sustainability Business

Africa is a defining growth market for sustainability: rising decarbonization commitments, energy access and efficiency imperatives, and fast-maturing ESG regulation are creating strong demand for trusted advisory. You will have the mandate - and the global backing - to establish our presence, build a flagship client portfolio and lay the commercial foundations for long-term market leadership.

What will you do?

• Build the market: establish SE Advisory Services as the trusted sustainability transformation partner of choice across key African markets.
• Own the number: carry the commercial target - pipeline creation, opportunity qualification, proposal-to-close and sustainable revenue growth.
• Land flagship references: secure marquee clients whose success stories unlock scale across the region.

• Entrepreneurial and founder-minded, comfortable building in a sophisticated, mature and advanced market.
• A collaborative team player with a hunter mindset who thrives on working across delivery, commercial and global expert teams.
• Entrepreneurial & self-starting- comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Agile, adaptable and able to drive results with minimal oversight.
• Thrives in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment- brings resilience, commitment and willingness to work long hours and meet tight deadlines that turn ambition into impact.
• Fluent in both the boardroom and the technical detail - credible with CFOs, CSOs and engineers alike.
• A collaborative orchestrator who mobilizes global expertise into local wins.

• Consulting, industry or start-up pedigree -ideally combined. A background from a leading strategy/advisory firm (Big 4 or MBB), a strong technical/advisory delivery background, and/or a start-up environment where you have worn multiple hats and built things from the ground up.
• Proven commercial track record. Direct sales experience with demonstrable success selling to and closing with end-users and enterprise customers.
• Sustainability at the core. A genuine sustainability background - you understand decarbonization, ESG and the energy transition and are passionate about driving real-world impact.
• The winning combination. Consulting depth + commercial hunting + sustainability expertise together is exactly the profile we are looking for.
• Techno-commercial experience across sustainability strategy consulting, ESG software, energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunity advisory.
• Ability to combine technical expertise with commercial ownership of consulting opportunities -proposal development, pipeline support and customer engagement.
• Skilled at translating complex technical findings into clear business cases, investment roadmaps and actionable, decarbonization-linked recommendations.
• Known for using commercial strategy to shape opportunities, unlock pull-through value and drive sustainable growth.
• A true hunter profile - self-starting, resilient and energized by building markets and closing deals.

• Minimum relevant postgraduate or 4 year qualification
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience
