Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager - Business Development (Consulting Services) to accelerate the growth of Schneider Electric's consulting portfolio in the electrical and energy management domain.
This role requires a strong consultative approach, deep technical understanding in power sector and digital solutions. Should have and a proven record of working in sales/ BD in similar organisations such as Hitachi, ABB, Siemens, Big 4s etc. and deeply engaged with the decision-makers across industries, utilities, government, public infrastructure projects and data centers. The candidate will lead business development initiatives for consulting services of Schneider Electric, propose consulting services, build trusted client relationships, bring business and collaborate with cross-functional teams to consulting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Growth
- Proactively identify and develop opportunities for Schneider Electric's consulting services in the energy, power systems, digital transformation, building solutions, data center across various clients. Carry business development and sales targets for the assigned territory
- Establish partnerships with MSI, MEP firms, consultants and industry networks to expand market reach and drive penetration into new verticals while expanding existing client relationships
- Build strong relationship with C-suite executives and key stakeholders, understand client challenges to propose customized consulting solutions across energy, electrical digital and data center domains. Act as a trusted advisor throughout the consulting lifecycle ensuring client satisfaction and repeat engagements.
- Promote and position Schneider Electric's consulting offerings, including:
- Energy audits and efficiency assessments, Advanced Power system and power quality studies with GRID and Renewable energy
- Electrical asset lifecycle consulting through Eco-consult advisory services
- Data center audits and optimization services
- Grid modernization, utilities, transmission & substation consulting
- Technical & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Support sales teams with technical discussions, proposals and client presentations 7 work with tendering teams to ensure competitive and value-based proposals
- Should have good experience in Govt. tenders and GEM/ e-procurement websites
- Collaborate with SMEs and marketing teams to create innovative consulting packages &

- Represent Schneider Electric in workshops, seminars and industry forums as a thought leader. Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and client insights to continuously refine consulting offerings
- Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor sales and technical teams on consulting solutions, market trends and value-based selling.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Master's degree / MBA preferred).
- 8-15 years of experience in the electrical and energy domain, with a proven track record in consulting business development and client engagement specific to above areas
- Strong exposure to power system studies (utilities, industries, and government), data center, digital transformation, PMO, solid technical understanding of MV/LV / HV products and solutions, energy efficiency, power quality improvement etc.
- Prior consulting experience with a Big 4 firm or equivalent energy/power consulting practice is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Master's degree / MBA preferred).
- 8-15 years of experience in the electrical and energy domain, with a proven track record in consulting business development and client engagement specific to above areas
