Job Description

The Senior Engineer II, Multi-technology Product Technical Lead serves as the primary technical point of contact across product development teams, driving the design, development, integration, validation, and delivery of complex multi-technology products. This role combines expertise in Electronics Hardware, Embedded Systems, Connectivity Technologies, and System Engineering to ensure successful execution throughout the product lifecycle.

The role is responsible for influencing technical architecture, ensuring design feasibility, driving cross-functional collaboration, managing technical risks, and leading system integration efforts across multiple engineering domains. The Technical Lead works closely with R&D, Product Management, Program Teams, Quality, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet customer and business requirements.

About the Role (Mission)

As a Senior Engineer II, Multi-technology Product Technical Lead, your mission is to provide technical leadership for the development of next-generation multi-technology products by leveraging expertise in electronics hardware, embedded systems, electrical engineering, software integration, connectivity solutions, and system architecture. You will drive innovation, technical excellence, and cross-domain collaboration to deliver high-quality products that create meaningful value for customers and the business.

What will you do?

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Serve as the primary technical lead throughout the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
  • Define and influence product architecture, technical roadmaps, and system-level design strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional technical discussions and drive key engineering decisions.
  • Ensure alignment between product requirements, system architecture, and business objectives.

Electronics Hardware & System Design
  • Lead the development and integration of electronics hardware systems, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, power electronics, control systems, and embedded platforms.
  • Review hardware schematics, PCB designs, component selection, and system-level interfaces.
  • Ensure hardware reliability, safety, manufacturability, and compliance with applicable industry standards.
  • Support design verification and validation activities for electronic and electrical systems.

Multi-technology Product Integration
  • Drive seamless integration across hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, electrical, communication, and cloud-connected systems.
  • Ensure interoperability between subsystems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve complex system integration challenges.
  • Define interface requirements and integration strategies for connected products.

Program Execution & Technical Planning
  • Define technical scope, development plans, resource needs, and engineering effort estimates.
  • Prioritize technical activities based on business and shared team backlog priorities.
  • Monitor technical progress and proactively address project risks and dependencies.
  • Support product release readiness reviews and milestone achievements.

Validation, Testing & Quality
  • Develop system validation strategies, test plans, and verification methodologies.
  • Lead system integration testing, qualification activities, and root cause investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with performance, reliability, safety, EMC/EMI, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Innovation & Problem Solving
  • Investigate emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Conduct technical research and feasibility studies for new products and features.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Recommend innovative solutions that improve product performance, cost, quality, and scalability.

Mentorship & Collaboration
  • Mentor and guide engineers across multiple technology domains.
  • Provide technical reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovation-driven engineering culture.
  • Partner effectively with product management, program management, quality, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.

  • BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / MSc in:
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

Experience
  • Proven experience leading complex multi-technology product development programs.
  • Experience in electronics hardware design, embedded systems, electrical systems, and product integration.
  • Demonstrated success in driving technical decisions across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience managing system validation, verification, and product qualification activities.
  • Strong background in product development from concept, design, integration, testing, and product launch.
