We are looking for Senior Engineer II, Electronics Hardware Design Expert (Power Supply) to make an impact!
About the Role (Mission)
The successful candidate will be contributing to stepping up team competency in power supply , technology roadmaps definition , guiding internal and partner development teams, and delivering state-of-the-art power supply products aligned with business objectives .
What will you do?
1. Support Technology Roadmap & Strategy Development
- Collaborate with innovation leader and business stakeholders to explore and evaluate power supply application opportunities aligned with emerging new energy trends , translating the opportunities into product & technology development roadmap
- Contribute to power supply technology roadmap definition aligned with market trends
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies ( e.g : GaN , SiC , IGBT, Wide-Bandgap semiconductors) for integration into next-generation power supply products
- Benchmark competitive products and define differentiated technical value propositions
- Drive adoption of wide-bandgap devices ( GaN / SiC ) to achieve superior efficiency, power density, and thermal performance
2. External Partnership Development
- Manage and technically direct ODM/OEM design partners, contract manufacturers, and third-party design houses
- Define technical specifications, review partner designs, and ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Conduct regular technical design reviews with internal and external engineering teams
- Establish clear technical deliverables, milestones, and quality gates for all development programs
3. Technical Leadership & Product Development
- Lead end-to-end design of industrial-grade AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies from concept through production, including integration of electronics hardware and embedded software
- Define and execute power supply architecture selection (LLC Resonant , Phase-Shift Full Bridge, Flyback, Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, Feedback, DCM, CCM etc.) based on application requirements
- Drive PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuit design and integration for compliance with IEC 61000-3-2 and EN61000 standards
- Lead transformer and magnetics design including core material selection , winding optimization, and thermal modeling
- Conduct design verification and validation through simulation (SPICE, SIMPLIS) and hardware prototyping
- Mentor and develop internal engineers in power electronics design principles

4. Standards, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and EMC standards: UL/IEC 61010 -1 , IEC 61010-2-201 , UL/IEC 62368-1, IEC 60950-1, IEC 61558-1 , IEC 61558-2-16 , EN55032, E N61000 EMC series, SEMI F47
- Lead pre-compliance and formal EMC/safety testing activities with accredited labs
- Implement design-for-reliability (DFR) practices including FMEA, derating analysis, MTBF calculations
- Establish and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and intellectual property documentation
5. Contribute to Team Competency Building in Power Supply
- Develop and deliver internal training programs on power supply application, power supply design, topology selection , simulation tools and EMC counter-measure approaches
- Create knowledge bases, design guidelines, and reference designs for organization-wide use
- Support to build the department a center of excellence ( CoE ) for power supply engineering within the organization
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Master's degree or PhD in Power Electronics, Semiconductor Devices or Applied Physics is strongly preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in power supply and power electronics design, development, or advanced R&D
- Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas:
- High ‑ power AC ‑ DC, DC ‑ DC, or DC ‑ AC power supply design
- Wide Bandgap (SiC/GaN) device application and characterization
- High‑frequency and high‑power-density converter design
- Power module and magnetics design and evaluation
- Power supply application engineering for industrial or energy systems
- Proven end‑to‑end product development experience, taking power supply technologies from concept, architecture definition, and prototyping through qualification, certification, and commercial product release.
- Experience working in or directly supporting industries such as renewable energy, energy storage systems (ESS), EV charging, industrial automation, UPS, data center power infrastructure, or grid‑connected power electronics
