Senior Engineer I, Infrastructure Operations

Yesterday Belgrade, Serbia

Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Ready to help keep critical business infrastructure running securely, reliably, and efficiently? Then we want to talk to you.

At Schneider Electric, we believe technology should be as sustainable and resilient as the world we're building. Our internal infrastructure - from source control to observability - is the backbone that keeps our teams productive and our operations running smoothly. As we continue evolving toward modern, container-based platforms, we're looking for someone who can help maintain and grow our critical Linux infrastructure and develop into a broader DevOps role within our DevOps team.

What You'll Do

  • Help maintain and continuously improve our critical Linux infrastructure, including our GitHub Enterprise Server appliance (multi-container deployment) - upgrades, backups, restore procedures, and disaster recovery
  • Maintain and extend our observability stack (Grafana, containerized deployment) and Zabbix monitoring - dashboards, alerting rules, and new integrations
  • Write and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, or similar) to reduce manual operational work
  • Support our Windows infrastructure environment, helping maintain it alongside the rest of the team
  • Participate in and gradually take on more responsibility within our CI/CD activities using GitHub Actions
  • Support incident response on critical systems as part of the team
  • Document systems, processes, and runbooks, and actively share knowledge with colleagues to support continuity across the team

You Should Have Experience With
  • Hands-on Linux server administration (CentOS or similar distributions) in production environments
  • Working with containerized applications (Docker) - deployment, troubleshooting, lifecycle management
  • Monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, or similar
  • Scripting for operational automation (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Clear communication and comfort collaborating across teams with different technical focuses

We'd Like to Talk to You If
  • You have solid experience administering Linux systems and enjoy being closely involved with production infrastructure
  • You're curious about containerization, CI/CD, and modern DevOpspr actices, and want to grow in that direction
  • You can work independently, research unfamiliar systems, and make sound decisions without needing constant guidance
  • You're open to broadening your skillset beyond Linux, including picking up Windows-based tooling ( ConfigMgr ) to support the team
  • You're comfortable contributing to incident response as part of a team effort
  • You enjoy documenting your work and sharing knowledge with colleagues, so it stays within the team
