The Role: Senior Engineer I, Embedded Software Design

We are looking for a highly innovative and passionate Firmware Engineer to join our firmware team to develop embedded system firmware of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and RACK products.

What will you do?

• Design, devleop firmware for Power Management Controller (PMC) within server rack systems.
• Design, develop and maintain firmware for ARM Cortex-M series embedded systems using C.
• Develop and optimize device drivers of embedded systems to controll hardware components and peripherals.
  Implement communication protocols and intefaaces, including I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, TCP/IP.
• Develop automation, validation, and diagnostic tools using Python and C/C++ to test and verify embedded system functionality.
• Participate in subsystem and system-level architecture design, verification planning, integration, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and validation teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work closely with manufacturing and test engineering teams to support production processes, improve test coverage, and resolve manufacturing-related issues.
• Analyze field issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve product reliability and quality.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience of firmware development of embedded systems.
• Familiar of Linux firmware development - C++/Python Object-oriented programming, System administration, debugging, shell scripting, and log analysis.
• Familiar of PMC (Program Management & Communication) firmware development
• Cross-functional collaboration, issue tracking, status reporting, and project coordination.
• Familiar of BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) firmware development -
• OpenBMC, Redfish, IPMI, platform monitoring and management.
• Familiar of implementing and integrating Redfish protocol for the RACK systems - TCP/IP network programming, RESTful APIs, Redfish, and remote system management.
• Familiar version control systems - Git, Subversion.
• Experience of firmware development for ARM Cortex-M series embedded systems using C.
• Experience of firmware development of power control and communication with different peripherals (e.g., I2C, SPI, CAN...).
• Experience in USB device firmware programming.
• Experience in graphical LCD firmware programming.
• Experience with C language development and relevant debugging techniques.
