Senior Accountant

This position is for a Senior Accountant in Singapore.
What will you do?
- Understand the Group's accounting policies, as well as local accounting and tax regulations
- Manage end-to-end accounting activities for assigned legal entity
- Oversee and support accounting operations, including:
- Performing month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Reviewing and approving monthly journal entries
- Preparing monthly P&L reviews, including variance analysis and explanations, and presenting results to the CFO and CAO.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts, analyzing variances between forecast and actuals, and presenting insights to the CFO, CAO and Treasury.
- Reviewing intercompany transactions and resolving balance mismatches identified in reports provided by Shared Services.
- Reviewing revenue recognition processes to ensure compliance with IFRS requirements.
- Reviewing account reconciliations and performing balance sheet account certification, as well as presenting ageing reconciliation to the CFO and CAO.
- Collaborate closely with Shared Services teams on daily operations and month-end close activities
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance Controllers, Legal, Accounts Payable, Credit, FP&A, Tax, and business stakeholders to align on policies, processes, and drive system & process improvements and key initiatives.
- Enhance the accuracy and integrity of financial information by ensuring transactions are correctly recorded and by initiating corrective actions and mitigation plans when required.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls across accounting and tax.
- Lead statutory audits for assigned legal entity and work with external auditors to ensure timely and successful completion of audit
- Lead quarterly Group reporting audits and work with external auditors to meet Group reporting timelines
- Responsible for GST returns and annual tax filing for the legal entity
- Manage EDB grant claim submissions and work with business stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Drive the implementation of best practices to simplify, standardize, and improve accounting and reporting processes.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Degree In Accounting or ACCA modules
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Self-driven / motivated individual
- Must be able to work independently without much supervision
- Agile and able to adapt quickly
- Familiar with accounting concepts and principles
- Able to work under complex and ambiguity environment
- Previous experience in audit would be preferred
- Proficient in SAP system is a plus
