Segment Solution Consultant - Buildings

Resulting from growth across the business we have an exciting opportunity for a Solutions Consultant to join our team. Flexible on location and reporting to the Large & Critical Buildings Segment Lead this position will be the catalyst and champion of innovation on IT/OT convergence and will be responsible for influencing and supporting strategic customers in the digitalization of their buildings' portfolio.
They will be responsible to lead customer workshops to uncover and capture the customers use cases, lead the definition of the IT/OT reference architecture to be proposed (involving data strategy, integration and interoperability requirements and the application of Analytics) and provide and explain the business value of the solution to meet the customer expectations.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Win business with strategic customers by developing relationships on digital transformation
- Be accountable for the perception by the Segment customers that Schneider Electric is a visionary and value-oriented company.
- Become the trusted advisor in the minds of our strategic customers on digital transformation through IT-OT convergence
- Position our value proposition on digital leveraging the various data platforms, application software and analytics available within the Schneider Electric portfolio
- Support in complex deals and lead conceptual design of technical solutions, using an architecture approach (as opposed to a product approach); Lead technical workshops with customers
- Work with account managers to engage directly with customers for pilots, prescription, customer feedback, and supporting the sales process on digital solutions.
- Work with other Subject Matter Experts across Schneider Electric to bring the right technical support to customer projects
Define IT-OT convergence architectures
- Development of IT-OT architectures based on the deep understanding of customer use cases and project specifications Design clear architectures responding to current and future customer needs
- Turn customer projects into Documented reference architectures and engineering standards that can be reused and author the supporting technical documents.

- Identification and development of emerging solutions and client pipelines, by identifying key business problems, analyzing client issues within it, and providing recommendations to the Director of Solution Architecture and Segment Team Leaders
- Enable the account managers to win business by coaching them on solutions and supporting their sales pursuits; Help the team navigate an increasingly complex software environment in Building operations.
- Propose investment in platforms, product lines, M&A and/or strategic software partnerships from an architecture standpoint
- Recurringly test, deploy and service new ideas with clients. Support industrialization and commercialization of the best profitable ideas on reference architectures
Requirements for the role:
- Customer centric mindset: excellent customer relationship skills. Ability to create relationships quickly across customers' organizations.
- Practical experience working in a Software environment, with experience in deploying complex software solutions with a wide range of integrations
- Good knowledge of RESTful standards and web API's (REST, WS-*, JSON, SOAP, XML, JDBC, AMPQ)
- Good knowledge in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google)
- Good understanding of networks and network design
- Knowledge of Enterprise security (IPSec, SSL/TLS, firewalls, certificates, key management)
- Experience in the development and influence of specifications to embed software in project requirements
- Strong capacity to foster collaboration & networking, and work transversally across the organization
- Structured way of working; Good attention to detail
- Confident speaker able to lead technical workshops with customers
- International, multi-cultural mind-set and approach
- Business Developer - Resourceful and self-starter attitude, interest to roll-up one sleeves, get things done and push the organization to deliver
