Sales engineer (f/m/d) - ETAP

Yesterday Madrid, Spain

ETAP is an independently operating global leader in software solutions for the design, modelling, analysis, and safe operation of electrical power systems. As a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, ETAP benefits from the strategic partnership and technological ecosystem of the group - while maintaining its own structures, processes, and employment conditions. This allows ETAP to combine the agility of a specialized company with the innovation power of a global technology leader.

As a Sales Engineer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for driving growth by selling ETAP's suite of products (SEE, CANECO and ETAP) and services to new and growth customers. You will focus on meeting sales goals while delivering value-driven solutions to new and existing accounts.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Acquire new business by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective customers who have not used ETAP before, contributing to market expansion and securing new logos.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by building strong customer relationships and driving upsell and cross‑sell opportunities that increase annual recurring revenue.
  • Execute strategic sales plans by managing the full sales cycle -from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing - ensuring revenue goals, forecasts, and pipeline health are consistently met.
  • Collaborate across teams by leveraging internal technical, marketing, and customer success resources to support account strategies, resolve customer issues, and maximize deal success.
  • Maintain deep product and market expertise by staying informed on ETAP's evolving solutions, industry trends, and competitive landscape, enabling tailored, value‑driven customer presentations and informed positioning.

Your profile:
  • Proven track record in direct sales, including building relationships at all levels within client organizations.
  • Experience in selling SaaS or DaaS (Data as a Service) solutions.
  • Strong business development experience, with a focus on acquiring new customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex software and product agreements, owning the entire sales process.
  • Experience in industrial software, engineering software, or automation is highly preferred.
  • Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities, able to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Trustworthy, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proactive, results‑driven, and continuously learning, with a creative and curious mindset.
