The Opportunity

Lead and deliver enterprise-level Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using UiPath, Python, SQL and GitHub.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation and functionally to the Program and Project Manager of Digital Innovation and Technology, in this hands-on technical role, you will be overseeing multiple automation projects, mentoring developers, and driving strategic automation initiatives across business units.

The position is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract based in Macquarie Park, NSW.

Key responsibilities will include:

Technical Delivery and BAU Support:

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced UiPath workflows from discovery to hypercare
  • Administer UiPath Orchestrator (packages, users, permissions, queues, assets)
  • Perform code reviews, manage GitHub actions, manage defect/enhancement lifecycle
  • Manage BAU support for critical processes, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
  • Provide post-production support and continuous improvement for existing automations
  • Integrate RPA solutions with enterprise systems and maintain technical documentation


Database and Infrastructure:
  • Design and manage SQL Server databases, T-SQL scripts, and scheduled jobs
  • Configure Windows Server environments and troubleshoot bot execution issues


Innovation and Modernization:
  • Develop Python-based automation enhancements and evaluate emerging technologies
  • Drive digitalization initiatives replacing legacy manual processes with intelligent automation


Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and mentor RPA developers, providing technical guidance and career development
  • Manage multiple automation projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
  • Facilitate Agile practices including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder demos
  • Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to senior leadership
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and best practices


About You

You will have 5+ years of RPA experience and demonstrated ability to manage complex automation programs (3+ years), including BAU support for existing critical automated processes.

You will be supported by a tertiary qualification in IT/CS or a related field and have 5+ years of user experience with UiPath (Studio, Orchestrator, RE Framework), OOP (Java/C#/VB.NET) and GitHub.

You will exhibit developed leadership qualities and an open communication style with the ability to problem-solve, collaborate, document pathways, and show and encourage continuous learning.

Key skills and experience:
  • Hands on experience creating stored procedures and complex queries using SQL
  • Demonstrated experience in Python or similar technologies
  • Experience in Network and UI Path server management
  • Domain experience: working across multiple domains will be highly regarded
  • Documentation: Strong technical writing for SDD, TDD, process documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex RPA development projects and extensive experience collaborating with enterprise teams and business stakeholders
  • UiPath certifications, Agile, Microsoft certifications
