Research Analyst - Data Center Infrastructure & Technology

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $142,400 - $213,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Research Analyst is a key member of the Data Center Research Center (DCRC),
Schneider Electric's internal thought leadership and industry knowledge team. The DCRC develops and publishes independent, high-value content focused on data center physical infrastructure and the impact of technological innovation on its design, operation, and ecosystem.

This role is designed for candidates with strong experience in data center environments
(e.g., solution architects, electrical or mechanical engineers) who want to apply their technical expertise beyond project execution. The Research Analyst explores how innovations, such as AI workloads, new cooling approaches, energy systems, and digital technologies, transform infrastructure architectures and influence the broader data
center ecosystem (grid, buildings, IT, and services).

Key Responsibilities
o Analyze Technology & Physical infrastructure Impact
o Investigate how emerging technologies (e.g., AI compute, liquid cooling,
distributed energy, digitization) impact:
• Data center power and cooling architectures
• System design, density, and scalability
• Interactions with the grid and energy ecosystem
o Assess technical implications, constraints, and trade-offs of new solutions on
infrastructure design and operations.
o Leverage Real-World Engineering Expertise
o Produce High-Value Thought Leadership
o Contribute to and progressively lead creation of
• White papers and technical reports
• Infrastructure design guidance and reference architectures
• Articles and insights on technology adoption and impact
o Ensure technical rigor and clarity through peer reviews and validation with subject matter experts.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
o Electrical Engineering
o Mechanical Engineering

o Energy & Power Systems Engineering
o Computer Engineeringor similar
o 3-7 years of experience in data center environments, such as:
o Solution architect / technical pre-sales
o Electrical or mechanical design engineer
o Data center operations, commissioning, or consulting
o Power or cooling system product manager
o Strong exposure to infrastructure design, system integration, or deployment in data centers is highly preferred
