Join us as a Regional Design Engineering Manager in our West Region. The Design Engineering Manager manages the design engineering resources of a region to meet that region's project needs, engineering requests and requirements, and business goals . The DEM is the point of contact, communication, and interface between design engineering and the internal business partners of sales, project development, and construction management teams. They are responsible for planning, executing, and closing engineering projects, ensuring that they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
What will you do?
- Administer the internal and external design engineering resources for the development , design, and construction phases of energy conservation and facility infrastructure improvement projects.
- Assign and monitor the regional design engineering staff to projects
- Contract engineering sub-consultants for the development, design, construction document preparation, and construction administration services for projects .
- Maintain quality control for all projects
- Collaborate with all r egional s ales , project development, construction, and operational leaders on the d evelopment , procurement, execution , and implementation s trateg ies and procedures for regional projects.

- Manage resource management plan of current and forecasted work in align ment with business partners.
- Develop and maintain project plan to ensure scope, schedule, and budget correspond with team expectations.
- Manage current and historical data to evaluate need for change or results from change
- Manage utilization and resource allocation to achieve success on projects
- Collaborate with Sales Team to provide resources to assist with Sales Strategy and deliver high quality projects and support
- Review and Approve Project Strategy Plans and Budgets
- Review Project procurement strategies, scope development, project financials, process, risk and quality to build the most successful project for our customer and our company.
- Communicate with and from the operations and construction to address issues and update best practices.
- Facilitate the development of individual performance, development, career path, and training goals.
- Supervise and evaluate individual staff members.
- Communicate corporate policies and directives
- Manage all HR process including reviews, performance evaluations, raises, promotions, personal improvement plans, expenses, timecards, PTO, etc.

What qualifications will make you successful?
- Four-year Mechanical , Electrical or Architectural Engineering degree
- Professional Engineer registration (mechanical discipline)
- Minimum 10 years relevant work experience
- Advanced understanding of mechanical building systems and energy use for a variety of building types including K-12 schools, university facilities and housing, correctional facilities, medical facilities , etc .
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to listen effectively and solicit input from others
- Advanced understanding of the design, specification and operation of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Proficiency with mechanical or electrical engineering calculations and related industry standards
- Advanced understanding of International Building Council codes and applicable area codes .

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
