Regional Category Manager - Batteries (French Speaker)
Join Schneider Electric and play a key strategic role in shaping our sourcing strategy for the fast‑growing battery segment. We are looking for a senior procurement professional with strong technical acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to deliver impact in a dynamic global environment.
What will you do?
1. Strategy Development
Perform needs analysis across Schneider businesses and segment category requirements.
Conduct market intelligence in Europe to identify pricing trends, supply risks, geopolitical impacts, and other strategic factors.
Lead alignment and communication of category strategy across key stakeholders: Business Units, Industrial Clusters, OCP Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.
Design the regional category strategy to achieve continuous improvement in cost, quality, service, innovation, and sustainability.

Contribute to global cost models, scoring models, price indexes, and strategic procurement tools.
Recommend supplier development actions aligned with category evolution.
Leverage best practices and global coordination across regions and Centers of Excellence.
2. Execution & Supplier Management
Build and manage the yearly negotiation roadmap.
Support internal sales and marketing teams on key battery‑related strategic projects.
Prepare and participate in strategic supplier negotiations, acting as an escalation point for critical topics.
Define and maintain the Business Review roadmap with cross-functional teams, providing key messages and inputs.
Participate in OCP steering committees to validate supplier allocation for new projects.
Define the contractual strategy (MSA) and oversee implementation with strategic suppliers.
Propose updates to the Statement of Compliance (SOC) aligned with category needs.
Validate dual sourcing initiatives and Change of Supplier (CoS) requests.
3. Performance Monitoring
Track category performance in Europe across Quality, Service, Productivity, Sustainability, Innovation, and other KPIs.
Monitor execution of key initiatives, including MSA coverage, risk mitigation plans, and supplier improvements.
Ensure full compliance with Procurement Excellence System (PES) processes.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Communicate category strategy and market insights to Category Buyers and Plant Procurement Managers.
Facilitate supplier leader networks and core team meetings in the region.
Support the performance management and target‑setting of Supplier Leaders within the category.

What qualifications will help you succeed?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Senior procurement experience with strong technical background; battery industry expertise preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional proficiency in French.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills at management level.
- Proven negotiation skills in complex, fast‑moving international environments.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural, cross‑functional setups and deliver under tight timelines.
- Comfortable working in project mode and driving
