Our Benalla manufacturing site is located in regional Victoria, 2.5 hours north of Melbourne's CBD. This plant plays a crucial role in our operations, providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability, primarily Transformers, Kiosks and Switchgear. The Benalla plant is a testament to our commitment to local manufacturing and innovation, contributing significantly to the regional economy and offering numerous job opportunities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Benalla, Victoria. This exciting opportunity will see you taking the next step in your career as you join a truly large-scale organisation that will support your ability to make an Impact. You will play a hands-on role in supporting engineered-to-order projects, including the production of Transformers, Kiosks, and Switchgear within a specialised manufacturing/production environment.

We are not looking for a senior professional or a technical expert. We're looking for someone who is curious, hands-on and keen to grow. You will get the opportunity to leverage your experience as you collaborate with a variety of experienced professionals and enjoy the support of passionate leaders who will invest in your development as part of the team at Schneider Electric.

This exciting new career opportunity will see you:

  • Coordinating project activities to support on‑time, on‑budget delivery in support of Customers that rely on our specialist expertise
  • Leveraging your technical knowledge and continuing to build a career path as you review technical drawings, specifications and engineering documents
  • Supporting problem‑solving and continuous improvement initiatives across production/operations
  • Collaborating with various teams including; Engineering, Supply Chain and other specialist functions
  • Oversee key Customer requirements, project updates and related reporting when required
  • Tracking project progress, risks and documentation as you adhere to set internal processes


Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications - Trade, Engineering or Project Management
  • Proven project managing skills that have seen you coordinate project delivery and support the overall execution of complex technical projects
  • Experience collaborating with varied stakeholder groups and managing expectations
  • Strong attention to detail, a passion for technical/engineering and a proven problem solver
  • Those with previous experience in the use of SAP will be viewed favourably, as will those with any knowledge or experience in relation to technical assets (Electrical, Transformers etc.)
