Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Project Engineering Supervisor in Mt Juliet, TN.

Job Description: Support the design, ordering, and manufacturing processes of medium voltage electrical power distribution equipment based on customer's plans and specifications. Supervise multi-disciplined engineering team which provides engineered-to-order solutions for customer projects at Schneider Electric manufacturing facilities. Team with Schneider Electric's global supply chain, middle office team, and commercial teams to provide world class solutions and customer service. Lead and direct team to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity, reuse, and on-time performance KPIs are achieved. Manage the capacity of the department. Provide leadership and direction to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity, reuse, and on-time performance KPIs are achieved. Ensure technical quality and service level respect of design (drawings, BOM, documents for production). Perform continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, and processes. Collaborate with Design Engineering and Technical Antenna team to ensure compliance and design intent of customer mechanical parts and assemblies are maintained. Remote work eligible up to 2 dys/wk. Supervises 23 direct report employees in the positions of Staff/Sr. Principal/Principal/Sr./Mechanical Engineer.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4 years of progressive post-bachelor's experience in medium voltage mechanical design engineering in the electrical power industry, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Detailed knowledge of medium voltage mechanical engineering processes, procedures, tools, and equipment applications; Training junior medium voltage mechanical engineers in a manufacturing environment; Medium voltage switchgear design and implementation (5-38kV); Deescalating customer issues with design process and results; Mechanical design of electrical power distribution equipment within product range; and Providing technical direction to other engineers.
