The Role: Project Engineer - IT Deployment
The Project Engineer - IT/Deployment (ADMS) plays a critical role in delivering end‑to‑end deployment, configuration, and technical integration of ADMS solutions for utility customers. This position bridges engineering, software implementation, and IT/OT environments to ensure successful delivery of ADMS projects with high reliability, technical rigor, and customer‑centric excellence. The role requires hands‑on technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage deployments in complex utility infrastructures.

The role covers:
- ADMS deployment (installation, patches, configuration)
- Infrastructure setup (servers, storage, networks)
- System integration & troubleshooting
- Customer support, testing, and documentation
What will you do?
1. ADMS Deployment and Configuration
- Execute the installation, configuration, and deployment of ADMS software and updates(patches/hotfixes) in customer environments.
- Customize system parameters, network models, SCADA configurations, and operational rules to meet customer operational needs.
- Perform integrations with enterprise IT systems.
- Ensure end‑to‑end functional validation and system acceptance testing.
2. IT/OT Infrastructure Implementation
- Prepare, deploy, and validate server environments, Windows OS, virtualization platforms, storages devices and cloud/infrastructure.
- Installation of the latest firmware updates on servers, storage, and network devices
- Support database configuration (Oracle/SQL), system performance optimization, and security hardening.
3. Project Execution and Delivery
- Participate in project planning sessions, contributing to deployment tasks, timelines, and technical resource needs.
- Maintain detailed deployment documentation, configuration records, and system architecture artifacts.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Ensure adherence to project delivery schedules and proactively escalate risks or roadblocks.
4. Customer Support and Engagement
- Serve as a technical point-of-contact for customers during deployment cycles.
- Conduct technical workshops, deployment reviews, system handover sessions, and user enablement.
- Provide troubleshooting and resolution support during go‑live and stabilization periods.
- Build trust through clear communication, strong technical ownership, and customer‑first service delivery.
5. Quality, Security and Compliance
- Follow engineering best practices, cybersecurity guidelines, and utility compliance requirements.
- Maintain system integrity through rigorous testing, validation, and performance monitoring.
- Participate in continuous improvement of deployment frameworks, automation tools, and templates.
What qualifications will make you successful?
For Fresh Graduates
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science or related field
- Basic understanding of power distribution networks.
- Comfortable with Windows, basic networking, and scripting.
- Eagerness to learn mission‑critical systems and ADMS technologies.
For 3-5 Years Experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science or related field
- Hands-on experience in ADMS/SCADA/OMS deployments.
- Experience with virtualization, OS configuration, MS SQL/Oracle basics.
Technical Skills
- Experience deploying enterprise software or control‑room applications (ADMS/DMS/OMS preferred).
- Solid understanding of IT/OT networks (VLAN, routing), cybersecurity concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and DMZ architectures.
- Experience with databases (Oracle/SQL), scripting, and system administration (Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V virtualization, storage configuration).
- Good knowledge of Data Center hardware
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and customer‑facing abilities.
- High accountability and ownership mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience with ADMS solutions (e.g., GE, Schneider, Siemens, Hitachi, Oracle).
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid deployments.
- Familiarity with Windows Server operating system deployments.
- Experience working with utility customers or mission‑critical operational systems.
- Certification in cloud, or IT infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.).
