Responsibilities and Tasks:
- RTU/SCADA engineer is a project engineering role that will provide support, implementation and maintenance of Schneider Electric SCADA products on various projects. This role is responsible for SCADA point to point testing, commissioning, installing hardware, documenting, troubleshooting and resolving SCADA issues
Job description:
RTU/SCADA engineer performs jobs requiring knowledge of complex work methods and skills, with minimal supervision of their superior and according to their superior's general instructions when tackling methodological, procedural or technical issues for which additional knowledge and experience is needed, in particular:
- Managing installation, configuration & testing of UPS, VPS, GPS, Terminal Servers, Network Switches, Network cabling.
- Substation activities including UPS installation, TCG configuration, point to point testing (other activities such as taking necessary permits, shutdowns, etc.).
- SCADA import, mapping and configuration.
- Tests and troubleshoots SCADA, communication networks and metering equipment during FAT, SAT and other phases of a project.
- Responds quickly and professionally to bugs reported by a client and continually communicates with the client.
- Performs triage of software and hardware defects reported by clients according to the established procedure.
- Continually follows the development of the company's product within the SCADA and EcoStructure ADMS - Advanced Distribution Management System portfolio.
- Cooperates with other team members, identifies obstacles in the work process and shares them with other team members and other teams, within the Regional Solution Center.
- Continually contributes to work process and procedures improvement within both the Regional Solution Center and the entire company.
- Keeps up with the latest achievements in the field software engineering and information technology (IT) and continually improves their own skill set, competence and domain knowledge.
- Continually works on raising the level of competence of less experienced team members.
- If needed, holds presentations/workshops to a wider audience with the aim of expanding the skill set of the targeted audience.
- Frequent traveling could be expected.
- Reports to their immediate superior.

- Experience in working with RTUs and Gateway units
Three (3) years of relevant experience related to SCADA / Protection and Control at power utilities. - Familiarity with DNP3, IEC101/104, ICCP and other SCADA protocols.
- English is Must.
