PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide OT‑focused cybersecurity engineering expertise supporting Process Automation Delivery projects. The role ensures secure implementation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance of Schneider Electric OT systems-primarily Foxboro DCS, Triconex safety systems, networking infrastructure, virtualization, and Windows‑based architectures.
The position executes Tier‑1 and selected Tier‑2 cybersecurity engineering activities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Cybersecurity Engineering & Delivery (Tier‑1 & Tier‑2 Activities)
- Perform system hardening, BIOS configuration, OS/application installation and patching
- Execute virtualization-related tasks
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Active Directory in standard setup; support CoE on customized AD/Radius tasks
- Implement and operate McAfee ePO components (ENS, DLP, Solidcore, RSD)
- Support backup & recovery systems including Veritas, Veritas Backup Exec, and Acronis
- Configure networks: switches (Extreme/Cisco/Hirschmann/Moxa), ACN/PIN, mesh networks, cybersecurity networks
- Implement firewall rules and support Level 3 firewalls (e.g., Fortigate/Cisco/Juniper)
- Perform switch and network hardening activities
- Install and configure log management tools
- Execute Windows Update and Patch Management
OT Systems Integration
- Apply cybersecurity controls on Foxboro DCS and Triconex systems in alignment with Delivery‑assigned tasks
Documentation & Compliance Support
- Prepare engineering documentation required for Delivery scope; ensure alignment with CoE validation responsibilities.
- Ensure cybersecurity implementation adheres to Schneider rules, engineering standards, safety protocols.
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Technical Leaders, and CoE cybersecurity experts
- Provide technical input during offers (estimates, risks, feasibility).
- Support regional CEE&I and EU projects requiring OT cybersecurity competence.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to Schneider policies, engineering processes, and H&S standards.
- Promote an inclusive culture aligned with IMPACT values.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost‑effective engineering practices.

- Interpret customer technical specifications and generate strategies for implementation in production;
- Work with customer in defining detailed application, system, and hardware requirements;
- Work from process and instrumentation drawings to design applications and control strategies;
- Develop software and system configuration, control application, human machine interface or safety control application;
- Prepare test, product and project documentation;
- Participate in customer acceptance tests;
- Work on-site engineering, start-up and application commissioning
ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
Essential Competencies
- Master's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, IT, or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with OT infrastructures (DCS/SIS/SCADA), ideally Foxboro and Triconex systems in industrial environments.
- Practical knowledge of: Windows Server/AD, virtualization, patching, backup systems, networks & firewalls, McAfee ePO modules.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles in OT environments.
- Fluent English.
- High initiative, technical curiosity, readiness to learn Schneider‑specific technologies
- Valid driving license (Category B).
Desirable Competencies
- Direct experience with EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS and/or EcoStruxure Triconex engineering environments.
- Exposure to IEC62443 concepts and OT security lifecycle.
- Experience with European industrial/utility projects.
- Additional EU languages an advantage.
