Production Planner
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $80,640 - $120,900 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. About the Role:
The Production Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to support on‑time delivery, operational efficiency, and resource alignment within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role coordinates cross-functional inputs to ensure material readiness, capacity availability, and smooth execution of customer project requirements. The planner proactively addresses scheduling risks, production disruptions, and design or resource changes while driving continuous improvement in planning processes.
What will you do:
- Develop, manage, and optimize the Master Production Schedule using ERP/MRP tools to balance workload, supplier forecasts, and capacity constraints.
- Coordinate end-to-end material flow, including supplier inputs, internal builds, and movement of finished goods to distribution centers.
- Execute detailed scheduling for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) activities, ensuring compliance with key supply parameters and delivery commitments.
- Monitor production progress, resolve schedule conflicts, and adjust plans to address backlogs, engineering changes, or equipment/resource challenges.
- Issue and update Production Job Tickets and maintain alignment with project plans and customer requirements.
- Conduct capacity analysis, review material requirements, and evaluate raw material/equipment readiness.
- Manage and respond to MRP exception messages, collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Track and report key performance indicators, using data to identify productivity improvements and cost‑reduction opportunities.
- Support ISO 9001:2015 compliance through accurate recordkeeping and adherence to quality processes.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications that make you successful
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 2-3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE, Acumatica).
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Knowledge of production scheduling methodologies and inventory management principles.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable mindset with strong internal customer focus.
