GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general supervision, builds and assembles large frames for Motor Control Centers (MCCs). Performs mechanical assembly operations, interprets wiring diagrams and blueprints, troubleshoots assembly and bussing issues, and collaborates with support teams to ensure product quality and timely resolution of production concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Familiarize yourself with wiring diagrams and symbols.
  • Carefully review the bill of materials to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Understand and apply appropriate torque values for each individual assembly.
  • Adhere to required assembly procedures and work instructions.
  • Safely lift and move materials, components, and structures as needed.
  • Work with attention to detail when following blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot wiring diagrams, assembly issues, and bussing-related concerns to support production quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain familiarity with hard bussing requirements and applications.
  • Utilize hand tools and operate a crane when necessary.
  • Keep a clean work area through general housekeeping duties.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity.
  • Crosstrain and rotate through various stations as required.
  • Communicate material, quality, equipment, or production issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with support groups, including Order Engineering and other functional teams, to identify solutions and resolve product, design, and production-related problems.
  • Participate in meetings to resolve production issues and coordinate activities with other shifts and support groups as necessary.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting production objectives.

  • Manufacturing and hand tool proficiency.

  • Ability to prioritize according to business needs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Knowledge of hard bussing requirements and applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.


Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.


Experience
  • Entry level.


Physical Requirements

Must be able to safely lift up to 22 lbs. unaccompanied and up to 80 lbs. with assistance. Components and assemblies weighing more than 80 lbs. may be encountered on occasion; mechanical lift devices and/or team lifting assistance will be available and required when handling such items. Must be able to stand for eight (8) hours. Occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and overhead lifting throughout the shift.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is $18.95 - $28.45 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
