Product & System Application Engineer (PreSales)

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Product & System Application Engineer to join our Secure Power PreSales team. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers and partners design, evaluate, and implement secure power and data center solutions that meet their business needs.

You will work closely with customers, sales teams, solution architects, offer managers, and bid teams to develop innovative, compliant, and high-performing solutions. As the technical lead throughout the opportunity lifecycle, you will play a critical role in influencing customer decisions and driving successful project outcomes.

What Will You Do?

Customer Engagement & Solution Development

• Understand customer requirements and recommend the most suitable Secure Power and data center solutions.
• Promote Schneider Electric's Transactional, 3-Phase, Cooling, and Edge solutions during the specification and design stages.
• Partner with account managers to engage customers and build confidence in our products, systems, technologies, and capabilities.
• Develop compelling value propositions that increase project win rates.
• Act as a technical consultant throughout the solution and bid lifecycle.

Technical Solutioning

• Prepare complete solution proposals including:
• System architecture
• Capacity calculations
• Design calculations
• Technical drawings and schematics
• Specifications and presentations
• Value propositions and supporting documentation
• Ensure solutions comply with applicable standards, regulations, codes, and safety requirements.
• Support successful installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of proposed solutions.
• Conduct peer reviews of data center and secure power solution architectures.

Collaboration & Enablement

• Work closely with Solution Architects, Design Engineers, Offer Managers, Business Development Managers, and Bid Teams to develop competitive and accurate proposals.
• Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Mentor and support team members through technical guidance and best practice sharing.
• Follow established tools, methodologies, and processes to ensure consistent execution and customer satisfaction.
• Provide regular project and performance updates to stakeholders.

What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Data Center Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in PreSales, Application Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Solution Consulting roles.
• Experience working with secure power, critical power, cooling, edge computing, or data center infrastructure solutions.
• Proven track record of supporting customer-facing technical engagements and complex solution design.
• Experience preparing technical proposals and supporting bid processes.
• Strong expertise in at least one Secure Power domain.
• Good understanding of data center infrastructure and critical power environments.
• Knowledge of end-to-end data center solutions, including power, cooling, monitoring, and supporting infrastructure, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with industry standards, compliance requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted customer relationships.
• Consultative problem-solving and solution-selling mindset.
• Excellent collaboration and cross-functional teamwork capabilities.
• Strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
• Proficiency in English and the local language, both written and verbal.
