Product Application Engineer (Pre-sales engineer)

As a P roduct Application Engineer , your mission is to provide comprehensive solution support to internal stakeholders, aligning with customer needs to propose tailored Digital Energy solution s. .
What you will do
- Drive sales opportunities in collaboration with the sales team and EcoXpert partners to meet annual sales and order targets.
- Lead pre-sales activities (prospecting, qualification, research, demos, proposal preparation) and develop high-level system architectures for strategic accounts.
- Design and validate prototype solutions to demonstrate feasibility and value for customer requirements.
- Deliver technical presentations and workshops, and provide ongoing training on Digital Energy solutions for Digital Power to strengthen partner and sales capabilities.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals and support the tendering process to ensure competitive submissions.
- Collaborate with Offer Management & R&D to identify offer gaps, define product requirements, and contribute to the roadmap.
- Coach and mentor junior team members by reviewing work for accuracy and quality, and sharing best practices.

- Proven experience in technical pre‑sales and product/solution consulting within building automation, power monitoring, or energy management domains.
- Strong understanding of product specifications and application engineering; ability to translate complex requirements into customer‑centric architectures.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Track record of partnering with sales, improving customer satisfaction, and winning tenders or proposals.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and EcoXpert partners, providing ongoing technical guidance and training.
- Preferred: Experience with EPMS/ECMS, power quality (PQ meters, harmonic mitigation), IEC 61850, or similar standards-plus familiarity with Schneider Electric's Digital Power portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Power, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering with 5-10 years' experience.
- Proven experience with LV products; IT and network system knowledge is a plus.
- Strong background in system integration, building/power systems design, energy management, and facility solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills; fluent in English.
- Proactive, sales-driven, and able to work independently with strong leadership and analytical abilities.
- Exposure to project sales/execution and a solution-oriented approach.
