What will you do:

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Procurement organization through the Global Supplier Base Optimization and Rebalancing initiative for Schneider Electric in India and MEA, and transform the function via simplification and digitization strategies. Primary categories include Raw Materials, Fabricated Components and Electronic Components.

Leverage a Digital strategy and supply base reduction strategy to dramatically simplify the Regional Procurement function and make a step-change in its overall effectiveness and efficiency with strong collaboration with regional supply chain plants.

Drive a world-class level of performance in year-over-year productivity and Customer Satisfaction with on-time delivery.

Lead Supplier development, supplier evaluation, and performance benchmarking. Define suppliers of choice target by commodities considering Total Cost of Ownership and risk management.

Continuously perform spend review/analysis and identify cost reduction opportunities via sourcing strategy as well as demand management. In addition, work closely with strategic suppliers to achieve efficiency under re-engineering processes. Document such plans and leverage working relationships with Regional Supply Chain and Business to execute plans.

MEA Procurement candidate is in charge, ensures MEA leadership for all Schneider Electric (SE) entities overall on both dedicated procurement teams and SE stakeholders in order to :

  1. Define the most adapted procurement strategy for the commodity, fitting SE & customer needs and secure its execution within all SE entities.
  2. Define and execute a Supply Base Optimization strategy to dramatically reduce the number of suppliers.
  3. Develop and deploy a Digital strategy to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Regional Procurement function.
  4. Secure the optimum performance of the commodity spend and suppliers in terms of Quality, Costs and Services in order to meet the needs of SE stakeholders.
  5. Secure respect of "SE Principle of Responsibility" and SE ethics for all his/her team and is responsible to maintain on time clean data in SE information systems
  6. Enable partnership with suppliers , in particular regarding all the innovation subjects
  7. Develop regional/ local talents aligned to key hubs of growth to build strong succession pipeline and boost further procurement performance.


  • Education :

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or other related function from a top University

    Job Related Experience:

    • 15+ years of experience managing procurement function/commercial/Supply chain function

    • Proven success in managing distributed, regional teams

    • Seasoned leader to develop high performance teams

    • Strong Strategic Vision

    • Negotiating skills and experience working in a strategic environment.

    • Superior communication skills, with the ability to not only clearly communicate verbally and in written form, but also to listen well to others to genuinely understand their viewpoints and take them into consideration of sourcing strategy and supplier selection

    • Demonstrated ability to complete complex, cross-business projects in a multi-dimension organizational structure

    • Demonstrated ability to "sell" one's ideas to others in a very diverse, multicultural business environment

    • A self-starter with a high degree of motivation who can work with minimal direct supervision

    • Open personality that is naturally curious to learn yet very focused on essential activities as agreed with management

    • Strong Digital acumen
