Procurement Director - Electronics & FC/RM (EE Cluster)
Schneider Electric is seeking a Procurement Director - Electronics & FC/RM (EE Cluster) to join the North America Procurement Organization. This role is responsible for building and leading a team of Regional Category Managers and Category Buyers across Electronics and Finished Components/Raw Materials (FC/RM). The organization defines, promotes, and ensures the deployment of EE regional commodity strategies across five business units and 42 manufacturing sites, while driving negotiation performance and strengthening supply chain resiliency. In addition, the EE Cluster Procurement Director will be accountable for FC/RM category management across the eight EE factories in North America.
What will you do? You will lead the strategy and sourcing of Electronics for North America, while collaborating globally with procurement peers on processes, tools, best practices, and market analytics.
Strategy
• Conduct needs and market analyses for Schneider Electric entities across North America, segmenting category requirements and identifying key market trends.
• Define strategic supplier panels by geographic zone based on needs segmentation, while assessing and mitigating supplier risks (quality, financial, supply continuity, etc.).
• Contribute to the development and deployment of regional cost models and supplier scoring tools, and continuously optimize the supplier base.
• Own, develop, and deploy EE category strategies (1-, 3-, and 5-year horizons) aligned with business objectives and company targets related to sustainability, quality, resilience, innovation, digitization, cost competitiveness, and transformation.
Execution
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, participate in key negotiations, and coach procurement team members on negotiation strategies and execution.
• Support productivity initiatives, including Quality Value Engineering (QVE) and Change of Supplier (CoS), and identify new savings opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Plan and lead strategic supplier business reviews, engaging supplier leadership and participating directly in critical reviews.
• Deploy, track, and follow up on supplier development and continuous improvement action plans.
• Negotiate and manage framework agreements with strategic suppliers.
• Propose and align stakeholders on updates to the Supplier Orientation Chart based on category strategy evolution.
• Lead sourcing and supplier qualification processes for new suppliers within the category.
Performance Monitoring
• Track and review monthly supplier performance across Quality, Service, and Productivity metrics.
• Manage and resolve critical escalations with strategic suppliers to ensure business continuity and performance recovery.
• This role requires up to 25-30% travel within North America to support supplier engagement, manufacturing operations, and key business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in supply chain management or engineering or similar discipline
- MBA Preferred - not mandatory
- 15+ years of experience managing a team in a project procurement function
- Proven success in managing distributed regional team
- A self-starter with a high degree of motivation who can work with minimal direct supervision
- Open personality that is naturally curious to learn yet very focused on essential activities as agreed with management
- Digital acumen

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 208,000 - USD 312,000 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
