Principal, Software Architect
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS), ed ge-to- c loud architecture , IoT ecosystems, and cybersecurity. In this role, they will be responsible for translating product requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable architectural solutions, driving architectural governance, and ensuring seamless integration across HEMS, EcoOS , e dge s ervices, d ata s ervices, c ore s ervices, and Azure c loud platforms.
The successful candidate will serve as a key technical leader, working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, Security Advisors, and Data Privacy Architects, while actively contributing to the Architecture Council to shape and uphold the organization's technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret business and technical requirements, translating them into robust solution architectures.
- Review and provide guidance on architecture and solutions proposed by e ngineering m anagers and a rchitects.
- Assess solution designs and deployment architectures developed by t echnical l eads and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
- Define secure, scalable, resilient, and maintainable architectures for HEMS and related platforms.
- Design and recommend Edge-to-Cloud integration patterns, data synchronization strategies, and interoperability frameworks.
- Actively participate in Architecture Council reviews, governance processes, and strategic decision-making activities.
- Lead and support the development and approval of Final Cyber Security Reports (FCSR).

- Collaborate with Cyber Security Advisors on threat modeling, Picasso reviews, security assessments, and compliance initiatives.
- Partner with d ata p rivacy a rchitects to embed privacy-by-design principles and regulatory requirements into solution architectures.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across p roduct, e ngineering, s ecurity, and a rchitecture teams, ensuring alignment of business objectives and technical execution.
