Principal, Product Owner
Y ou will work with engineering, product, sales, marketing, and clients on very high-importance, cross-functional and strategic ETO & Auxiliaries offers to ensure alignment of Schneider Electric's overall product vision, product development, and ultimately, our go-to-market strategies. Your focus will be on customer needs, satisfaction, and adoption, ensuring a customer-centric approach throughout the process .
Key Roles
Product Owner - As the senior product owner , you will spearhead the offer management function for a product family encompassing ETO & Auxiliaries for Data Center and C&I markets globally . This pivotal role involves shaping the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. Collaborating with department heads, you will drive the product strategy forward, while being accountable for forecast accuracy, profitability, and market share growth within your product family.
Product Innovation - In this role, you will leverage a unique blend of business and technical understanding to identify the segment gaps, formulate offer and decision proposals for management committees and your management , and implement these quickly and profitably in line with the investment decisions. You r capacity to translate complex system relationships and solutions into understandable , visual offer roadmap representations and strategies is pivotal , as you'll be presenting these both internally and externally . Your main abilities include an excellent form of communication and interpersonal skills, since you will be communicating with all departments in the company at both management and employee level, as well as interacting with partners, customers, the press , and analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams by providing clear direction and priorities to drive the development and successful launch of new offers .
- Champion the understanding of global market for the offer segment and coordinate with sales to assess and craft a new go-to-market strategy .
- Drive the marketing-communication team to de sign campaigns , follow- through , and create assets that showcase the value-proposition of the products .
- Establish the quality metrics, after sales service plans and warranty plans by closely collaborating with supply chain organization .
- Take charge of the launch plan for new offers in collaboration with category managers.
- Assist the sales teams in securing major tenders and capturing key accounts.
- Develop product/solution strateg ies and management plan in collaborati on with key business partners.
- Drive the creation of business /financial plan in collaboration with PMO and business CFO, and pitch to C-Level executives to secure funding for new projects and large account partnerships.
- Accountable for ensuring the profitability of the offering, as well as managing price realization and product mix effectively.
- Guide the creation of offer requirements documentation with product managers to drive the development of industry-leading products and solutions, leveraging primary research and market insights compilation .

- Develop an effective product positioning strategy by assessing the market potential and comparing our offerings and future roadmap with those of current and upcoming competitors .
- Investigate the next generation of technolog ies and identif y potential market trends and directions for future developments .
- Create compelling thought leadership content and presentations to promote our offers by collaborating with engineering and sales teams to gather product overviews, benchmarking data, and insights for editorials in magazines, blogs, and other platforms.
- Lead the development of value propositions and product messaging for the solution, working with MarCom to create marketing collateral such as datasheets, brochures, and website content. Also, define requirements for promotional campaigns including webinars, training, trade show events, advertisements, and social media activities to effectively promote the solution.
- Act as the primary interface with other functional groups (engineering, service, MarCom, quality, sales) to develop ETO operating model , enabling informed decision-making on offer design, and coordinating field trials of products and solutions. This will require a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and effective collaboration across teams for successful product development and market deployment.
Prior Experience & Background:
- Ideal for a professional with 8-10 years product or project management experience , including 3 years in managing cross functional teams for ETO solutions in an international environment and across multiple sites .
- Proven track record in a pplication e ngineering , s olution a rchitecture, or ETO environments and s trong knowledge of UPS, p ower d istribution, b attery s ystems, and d ata c enter i nfrastructure markets especially in creating new offers , launch, installations and manag ing product life cycle .
- Exceptional capability to simplify and present the value-proposition of a complex multiple application offer .
- Strong know-how of conducting qualitative and quantitative research in collaboration with external contracting agencies .
- Experience in monitoring the company relevant KPIs and controlling the measures to achieve the objectives set.
- Strong analytical, strategic and coordinating skill s.
- R equires approximately 25 % travel to customers, interested parties, roadshows, trade fairs, press events and analysts .
