Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain).

We are seeking a talented individual to join the team as Application Capability Owner for Global Payroll Applications. We are looking for someone with deep hands-on expertise in implementing and managing Payroll applications, who are enthusiastic about driving efficiency, fostering an innovation culture in software development lifecycle practices.

You will play a pivotal role in ongoing Payroll transformation and will be responsible for guiding the implementation with our partners, maintenance, optimization, and innovation of our systems, ensuring they align with our business objectives and deliver exceptional value to our employees worldwide. Our team is committed to driving continuous improvement through various programs and initiatives.

We focus on:

  • Global governance of Payroll solutions.


  • Strategic alignment on the technology solutions deployed across the business units.


  • Technology solutioning, technical evaluations of best of the breed solutions available on the market.


Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Work closely with and act as thought partner to business product owners, regional IT application owners, architects on payroll roadmaps and solutions


  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of payroll ecosystem


  • Guide the development and maintenance of new integrations or existing integrations


  • Engage with vendors on product issues and solutions as needed


  • Have the presence to influence work outputs of others without formal reporting relationships


  • Collaborate with other product teams on end-to-end impact of features


  • Engage in troubleshooting and issue resolution as needed


  • Utilize payroll domain knowledge to guide enhancements and efficiency improvements


  • Provide valuable insights to inform payroll solutioning decisions


Key skills and requirements:

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience with Payroll applications


  • Strong IT background with a good understanding of product architecture, governance, security, application design and maintenance


  • Ability to create comprehensive system blueprints and diagrams to visualize the ecosystem of solutions


  • Ability to select appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks to support the desired functionalities and scalability of the system


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present technical proposals and solutions to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner


  • High level of attention to detail


  • Ability to manage ambiguity


  • Strong time management skills


  • Skilled in MS Office tools - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio


  • Fluency in English and Spanish


Preferred:

  • Understanding of Payroll operations


  • Experience with one of more of the following payroll solutions - Strada, Ceridian, RAMCO, iiPay, PeopleStrong


  • Manufacturing industry experience


  • Exhibit hi gh levels of energy, agility and adaptability


  • Ability to work on global teams with cross cultural awareness and sensitivity


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
