Prefab Customer Project Manager
SUMMARY OF JOB:
The modular Data Centers have been driving a tremendous growth to the segment during the last years. As part of Data Center Systems Line of Business, The MODULAR DATA CENTER organization design and integrates full solutions in the field of power conversion, energy storage, cooling, electrical distribution, and control software into modular enclosures.
The Project Managers in our team take have the responsibility to successfully deliver these projects after the PO and lead the teams through the main project phases, such as design, procurement, production, testing, commissioning, and Services enablement. Having in charge the animation and the success of the project team in term of cost, quality, lead-time and business performance, the project managers ensure the delivery of the solution to the country of destination and secure a safe hand-over to the customer.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSABILITIES
- Follow Company Customer Project Processes (CPP)
• Lead a global, multi-functional team to deliver project and offers to market
• Execute and implement all work aligned with the CPP
• Ensure the project governance is met according to the CPP and within SE tools and systems
- Deliver
• Manage projects focusing on the delivery of a product from concept to launch
• Manage project teams in a global matrix organization, across multiple time zones and locations
• Identify root causes of problems, offer options and solutions to resolve issues and own the resolution of any impediment
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Work with functional management to staff projects appropriatel
- Lead
• Work with internal and external factories that will integrate our solutions, and with all functions involved in the solution across Schneider-Electric
• Build trust and consensus for effective project collaboration
• Work Independently with little supervision. Show ownership of the project in any of its aspects.
• Advance corporate competencies and processes through continuous improvement activities
- Exercise Project Discipline
• Define the Project Management Plan at the beginning of each project to provide clarity towards all internal and external stakeholders
• Create and own project plans (schedule, resources) to meet project expectations and to ensure cost, quality, lead-time, and business performance.
• Coordinate all support activities to meet new product contract deliverables
• Analyze, anticipate, quantify, and mitigate risks (technical, schedule, manufacturability, application, etc.)
• Maintain a risk register to co-ordinate, record and manage potential issues and follow mitigation plans through to completion.
- Report
• Report status of project activity to all stakeholders (e.g., management, support functions, customers, etc.)
• Communicate and manage changes in project scope to departmental and cross functional teams
• Be responsible for project metrics for schedule, cost, quality, customer satisfaction.
- Improve
• Interface with Cross-functional teams and with corporate project office to continuously improve the new product development processes

• Contribute towards performance reviews in partnership with functional managers
Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Master's degree in a Technical or Industrial field // Major in Electrical Engineering preferred
• PMP Certification desired
• MS Project & Excel (Advanced Level)
SKILLS
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• English full professional competency
• Other languages as Japanese, will be very valuable
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and different time zones
EXPERIENCE
• 6 Years' experience as Project Manager
• 2 Years working on the Data Center segment or in a related segment, if possible
TRAVEL
• Domestic and international travel <15>
