Power Quality Specialized Architect
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $156,000 - $234,000 per year with commission.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-
related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. What do you get to do in this position?
The position of Specialized Consulting Services Architect is a technical solution sales position that promotes FIRST and FOREMOST the sales of Power Quality Hardware. Additionally this position also promotes Consulting Services, On-Premises Power Monitoring software and Cloud Based Analytics As a Service. metering, relays and instrumentation for electrical power systems (thermal hotspot sensors, Online Gas Analyzers, Motor Monitoring technologies and others).
The Specialized Architect will evaluate a customer's existing electrical distribution infrastructure and promote upgrades and expansions to improve power quality and reliability through the installation of power quality improvement solutions and EcoStruxure Advisory Services and help cultivate customer adoption through basic training and enablement activities. The Specialized Architect is the most technically capable member of the Technical Competency Center (TCC) for their SPECIALTY Business Unit (Digital Services) These individuals are highly specialized technical experts and will actively pursue, capture and expand opportunities with customers who have their respective specialty portfolio.
The primary function for this role includes but not limited to supporting the One Services Selling Center and any other Business Unit, external partners, and distributors seeking deep technical Digital Services sales support. If necessary, the Specialized System Architect may also have to focus on demand generation.
The Specialized Consulting Services Architect will cover the following region:
One Services West (Territories TBD), and will be based out of Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, OR One Services Southeast (Territories TBD), and will be based out of Atlanta Other location in the Central Region will be considered.
This Specialized Power Quality Architect will specifically be responsible for: Understanding the key enablers of growth within the region (key customers, offers and technologies) driving the growth of the Schneider Power Quality Hardware business
- Contribute to the diversification of the consulting business by promoting the full offer portfolio of PFC, Harmonic Mitigation, Voltage Regulation.
- Understand the various sales organizations within Schneider Electric and the available internal and external channels. Develop synergies with these organizations and foster cooperation
- In cooperation with Marketing and Offer Management, develop offer and pricing strategies for the region
- Provide input on the development of proposals on large or strategic projects.
- Develop technical sales presentations for the region. Present technical subject matter (engineering studies, design, automation... etc.) in seminar and webinar format.
Working with other sales specialists within Schneider Electric to create and capture sales targets will be a key factor in the success of this role.
This is a Technical Sales role with a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) with aggressive growth sales quota.
The position requires strong competency in both the sales development and technical skill sets. It is very beneficial to be accomplished at demand creation (i.e. develop projects and strategies without the use of bids by going to the client base and assist with developing an energy mgmt. strategy). Proposal writing is also another important skill in this position: to communicate effectively with the client as to what is to be expected in a project.

This job might be for you if:
- High proficiency in electric distribution equipment such as MV/LV circuit breakers and equipment, transformers or Variable Speed Drives
- Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
- Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology combined with 5+ years of relevant experience. Other near equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office, Visio, Human Machine Interfaces and programmable controllers/IED's
- Knowledge of contract documents and ability to clearly understand specifications and project financials
- Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required
- Ability to travel up to 50% to various customer sites in One Services Northeast region
