MISSION

As part of the R&D team, you will help design and develop low‑voltage DC power electronic systems that ensure safe, efficient, and reliable energy conversion and protection. Your work will support next‑generation AC/DC and DC/DC converters, solid‑state protection devices, and integrated LVDC architectures for future energy and grid applications. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, perform technical analyses, and ensure compliance with relevant safety and electrical standards to deliver innovative solutions for the New Energy Distribution system.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, simulate, and optimize AC/DC and DC/DC converters, solid‑state protection circuits, and LVDC modules
  • Develop schematics, support PCB layout, and contribute to system‑level architecture
  • Create test plans, validate prototypes in the lab, and troubleshoot hardware issues
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and systems teams to ensure smooth product integration
  • Produce clear technical documentation (design files, reports, BOMs, risk assessments, test results)
  • Support compliance, certification, and standards-related activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, R&D activities, and innovation in LVDC technologies
  • HBO or MSc in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-4 years of relevant power electronics experience
  • Experience with isolated and non‑isolated converter topologies
  • Knowledge of IEC electrical safety standards
  • Proficient with simulation and design tools (e.g., LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, KiCad)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive and comfortable working in a multicultural team
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
