Join us as an Plastic Component & Tooling Engineer Intern to make an impact!

Location: Kallang

Launch your career in industrialization and supply chain excellence with a hands-on internship that brings innovation from design to production. You'll gain practical experience supporting the design and qualification of manufacturing processes, collaborating with engineering, plant, and supplier teams to optimize quality, cost, and manufacturability. This role offers valuable exposure to supply chain operations, operational performance, customer requirements, and new product introduction, while helping deliver efficient, agile, and sustainable solutions from concept to market.

What will you do:

• Design and develop plastic and metal parts tooling to ensure they meet functional and quality standards. Write Tooling specification.
• Perform feasibility studies, cost analysis, and budgeting for new tooling and component designs. Collaborate with the R&D team for design reviews and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis.
• Work with the Procurement team for supplier selection and conduct technical audits
• Plan the tooling schedule and oversee the tooling fabrication process to ensure compliance with specifications and timelines. This role requires 10%-25% travel for onsite mold trials and process qualification for new tools and tool transfers.
• Work with suppliers, R&D and quality for tool and parts qualification (FA, PPAP )
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, assembly process engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive project success.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to plastic/ metal components and tooling during the production process.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, enhance efficiency and quality in Supply chain and manufacturing.

What qualifications will make you successful:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical , Tooling, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Creo & AutoCAD) and other engineering tools
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), other languages (e.g., Mandarin, Malay) are a plus
