PEX Method Engineer - New Product Deployment

The PEX Method Engineer - New Product Deployment ensures new products are fully prepared for mass production by building, validating, and optimizing all digital manufacturing data within the SAP system. You will lead Customer Product Deployment activities with a focus on accurate Bill of Material configuration, material flow strategy, and production order readiness. Your work enables seamless product launches, reduces operational risk, and strengthens organizational capability for configured products.
What will you do in this position?
SAP Configuration and Digital Industrialization
- Lead the development of Bill of Material configurations in the SAP system for all new product introductions.
- Create and maintain phantom assemblies and make assemblies to ensure proper structure and manufacturability.
- Perform Bill of Material audits (SAP versus engineering design) to ensure accuracy, alignment, and revision control.
Production Readiness and Process Excellence
- Develop shop floor mapping that defines accurate routing, work centers, assemblies, and operational sequences.
- Build Plan for Every Part data to support the Material and Product Handling strategy.
- Validate costing structures to ensure correct standard costs, labor rates, and component usage.
New Product Introduction Leadership
- Lead the digital transition from prototype to mass production through complete SAP configuration and system validation.
- Release pilot and initial mass‑production orders to confirm readiness and data integrity.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Materials teams to remove barriers and ensure clean handoffs.
Continuous Improvement and Capability Building
- Identify gaps in product configuration processes and implement improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Strengthen organizational capability in configured‑product management by improving standards, tools, and workflows.
- Support ongoing enhancements to Plan for Every Part, Material and Product Handling strategies, and Bill of Material accuracy.
This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of SAP data, which serves as the foundation for every successful product launch. By creating and maintaining the digital manufacturing backbone, you enable stable capacity, cost control, quality performance, and smooth production flow. Your work directly supports the organization's ability to introduce new products efficiently and with minimal disruption, ensuring each launch is executed with precision and full operational readiness.
What qualifications will make you successful in this position?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is required.
- Experience in New Product Introduction, Process Excellence, Method Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong SAP proficiency, including Bill of Materials, material masters, routings, work centers, and production orders.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, and product structures.
- Experience with Plan for Every Part, Material and Product Handling strategies, and Lean or Process Excellence methodologies.
- Knowledge of costing structures and standard‑cost validation.
- Experience working with configured products or make‑to‑order manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and problem‑solving ability.
- High attention to data accuracy, configuration control, and process mapping.
