Payroll Officer

For our Human Resources Services Division, we are looking for a Payroll Officer who works for the region of Belgium, reporting to our office in Uccle, Brussels.
As Payroll Specialist you are responsible for correct payroll and personnel administration. You work closely with your colleagues and the payroll provider, and you will report to the HR Services Manager for Belgium & the Netherlands. You will be supported in your onboarding and daily work by a Senior Payroll Specialist. #LI-JB10
Daily task and responsibilities:
- Time management: you will check/manage time records entered by managers through our time and attendance system.
- Payment management: you ensure the correct and timely payment of wages of workers, employees, and executives of the different Belgian entities (PC 111.01, PC 209.00 and PC 200.00).
- Reporting: you'll prepare reports and check Data Quality between payroll and downstream systems as well as reports for Finance (reconciliation, net comparison, provisions)
- Annual payroll activities: calculations of vacation pay, bonuses, warrants, stock options, etc.
- Employee point of contact: you will be able to answer questions from employees and management regarding their personal administration (employment conditions, leave, absence, time credit, simulation notice, etc.)
- Continuous improvement: you will proactively think about how we can optimize and automate payroll processes in close collaboration with your HR Services colleagues.
- Legislation: you keep up to date and ensure the correct application of social and fiscal legislation, sector regulations and internal agreements.

You are someone with:
- A Bachelor's/Master's degree in payroll or HR administration
- 2-3 years of experience in the role
- Solid knowledge of Belgian social legislation
- Fluency in French/Dutch and English
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and customer-oriented approach
- A proactive attitude toward continuous improvement
- Team spirit with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Partena tools, Python/macros is a plus
