Join us as a NPI Forecasting & Inventory Analytics Intern to make an impact!

Location: Kallang

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and analytical intern to support the Pacific Supply Chain Planning team in transforming the New Product Introduction (NPI) forecasting, segmentation, and inventory management processes. You will contribute to a strategic initiative aimed at reducing excess inventory, improving forecast accuracy, and enhancing decision governance across the full product lifecycle.

This role is ideal for students interested in supply chain analytics, forecasting, data modelling, and process optimisation.

What will you do?

  1. Data Analysis & Forecasting Support
    • Analyse historical launch performance, forecast accuracy trends, and demand variability across product segments (e.g., volume, margin, predictability).
    • Evaluate causes of demand overestimation and underestimation using real data from recent launches such as Sweep Fans (Sep-2024).
    • Prepare forecasting performance dashboards and contribute to forecast waterfall analysis.
  2. NPI Segmentation Modelling
    • Support development of a segmentation model categorising launches (e.g., New, Phase-in/Phase-out, Redesign, Country Intro) and market types (Project-driven, Channel, Market Growth).
    • Analyse correlations between launch attributes and inventory outcomes.
  3. Inventory Management & Risk Assessment
    • Model inventory scenarios under alternative forecasting models, replenishment and safety stock strategies.
  4. Process Mapping & Improvement
    • Review the current NPI supply chain workflow and identify pain points (e.g., forecast reviewed late, unclear launch quantities, MOQ misalignment).
    • Support design of improved future-state NPI process flows to enhance governance and collaboration between Supply Chain, Finance, OM, and LOB teams.
  5. Report Creation & Presentation
    • Prepare documentation, visuals, and insights for Steering Committee updates.
    • Summarise findings into business cases for improvement actions (e.g., demand signal integration, real-time data use, governance changes).

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Currently studying Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Excel, Power query, Python, IA programming tools or other analytical tools.
  • Understanding of supply chain fundamentals (forecasting, inventory models, MOQ, safety stock) is desirable.
  • Ability to structure problems, interpret data trends, and prepare clear visual outputs.

What's in it for me?

  • Global Family Leave
  • Comprehensive medical coverage for employee and dependents
  • Worldwide Employee Stock Ownership
  • Hybrid work arrangement (New Ways of Working)
  • ...and more!
