As a Tender Manager, you will lead the end-to-end tendering process for complex, high-value projects. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multiple business units to leverage synergies for shared customers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Tender Strategy Development : Define and implement tailored tender strategies that align with business goals and customer needs .
  • Bid Leadership : Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality bids, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with other business units and with zone: sales, engineering, legal, finance, and procurement teams to gather inputs and validate offer components.
  • Risk Management : Identify and assess commercial, contractual, and technical risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Customer Engagement : Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the tendering process, including clarifying requirements and negotiating terms.
  • Process Improvement : Capture lessons learned and contribute to the development of best practices, tools, and templates to enhance future tendering efficiency.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional and remote teams, influence without authority, and drive alignment across departments.
  • Ownership: Energetic and committed to achieving results. You take initiative, overcome obstacles, and pursue opportunities with determination.
  • Strategic Thinking : Ability to see the broader business context and align tender strategies with long-term objectives.
  • Tender Management : Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Commercial Acumen : Deep understanding of pricing models, contract terms, and financial implications of bids. Ability to assess risks, evaluate scenarios, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal coordination and external client interaction.
  • Resilience : Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in tendering, bid management, or commercial project roles. Experience working in matrix organizations and coordinating across business units is beneficial. Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes.
  • Language: Fluent in English; Nordic language is a plus.
