Master Data Senior Specialist

Job Purpose / Mission
Lead and govern master data management activities within SAP to ensure high-quality, accurate, and standardized data across Supply Chain operations. Support business performance by managing product lifecycle data, enforcing governance rules, and optimizing SAP master data processes.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Master Data Management
- Create, update, and maintain master data in SAP.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance of all SAP master data.
- Manage full lifecycle of materials including creation, extension and flagging for deletion.
- Data Governance & Quality
- Define and enforce SAP master data governance rules and standards aligned with global/regional policies.
- Monitor and improve data quality using KPIs and reports
- Perform regular data audits and lead corrective actions.
- Change Management & Product Lifecycle
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) within SAP.
- Coordinate material and product updates across lifecycle stages.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams.
- Coordinate SAP data updates between plant and regional/global stakeholders.
- Act as focal point for all SAP master data topics.
- SAP Process Optimization
- Improve SAP master data workflows and processes.
- Support SAP enhancements, rollouts, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure proper integration across SAP modules (MM, PP, SD).
- Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Develop and maintain SAP-based reports and dashboards (Excel / Tableau ).
- Track data quality KPIs and operational efficiency metrics.
- Analyze root causes for data inconsistencies and drive solutions.
- Training & Support
- Act as SAP Key User for master data processes.
- Train and support end users on SAP master data entry and governance rules.
- Develop user guidelines and documentation.
- Data Leadership & Community
- Animate and lead Data Owners network within the plant.
- Drive data awareness and best practices across teams.
- Participate in internal Data Communities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as Data Owner when required.
Main Activities (Aligned with Your Scope)
- Maintain SAP master data quality and integrity.
- Manage product lifecycle data and engineering changes.
- Coordinate cross-functional SAP data processes.
- Define and enforce master data governance rules.
- Monitor and report data quality KPIs.
- Train SAP users and support adoption.
- Lead Data SIM activities within the plant.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Engineering (Industrial / Electrical / Mechanical preferred)
- Information Systems / Computer Science
- Supply Chain / Business Administration
Experience (Senior Level)
- 2-5 years of experience in:
- SAP Master Data Management OR SAP Supply Chain
- Minimum 2+ years hands-on SAP experience in:
- Material Master (MM)
- Production Planning (PP) is a plus
- Proven experience in:
- Data governance
- Change management (ECR)
- Cross-functional project coordination
- Experience in manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP ERP (MM, PP is a plus)
- Advanced Excel (PivotTables, Power Query)
- Programming (Power Automate, VBA, C# is a plus)
- Experience with reporting tools (Tableau is a plus)
- Knowledge of:
- Material master structure and dependencies
- BOMs, routings, and production data
- Product lifecycle management within SAP
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to lead initiatives and influence teams
- Training and coaching capabilities
