Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business (SB) division partners with leading multinational and Japanese corporations to design and implement sustainability strategies, renewable energy programs, climate action roadmaps, supply chain decarbonization initiatives, and digital sustainability solutions.
As a manager within the Japan Sustainability Business team, you will play a leading role in helping Japan's most influential companies navigate the energy transition and achieve their sustainability ambitions through strategy, technology, and execution.
This is a unique opportunity to combine sustainability expertise, digital innovation, business development, and project leadership while working closely with global experts and multinational clients.
What You will Do
1. Lead Sustainability Transformation Projects
Lead and manage consulting engagements that help clients define and execute sustainability and decarbonization strategies, including:
- Net-Zero and Science Based Targets (SBTi)
- Renewable energy procurement and RE100 strategies
- Scope 1, 2 and 3 decarbonization programs
- Supplier engagement and supply chain decarbonization
- Climate risk and adaptation assessments
2. Drive Digital Sustainability Solutions
Act as a subject matter expert for Schneider Electric's market-leading energy and sustainability cloud-based platform - Resource Advisor (RA).
- Advise clients on sustainability data management and reporting strategies
- Lead deployment and optimization of RA solutions
- Help clients maximize value from digital sustainability tools
- Identify opportunities to expand services through additional consulting, software, and decarbonization solutions
3. Shape Client Strategy and Executive Decision-Making
Work directly with sustainability executives, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to:
- Translate sustainability ambitions into actionable roadmaps
- Develop investment and implementation plans
- Deliver insights based on market trends, regulatory developments, and industry's best practices
- Facilitate executive workshops
4. Lead High-Impact Projects and Grow the Business
Manage multidisciplinary project teams and ensure successful delivery and contribute to the growth of Sustainability Business by:
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Lead proposal development and client presentations
- Coordinating stakeholders across multiple regions and functions
- Coach and mentor junior consultants

What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?
Required (MUST)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability, climate change, energy transition, ESG, or related consulting fields
- Experience managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders
- Strong client-facing consulting and communication skills
- Experience developing executive-level presentations and recommendations
Preferred (WANT)
- Experience within a consulting firm, sustainability advisory, or corporate sustainability
- Experience with decarbonization strategy, renewable energy, climate risk, Scope 3, or ESG transformation programs
- Experience with sustainability reporting and sustainability data management platforms
- Familiarity with digital sustainability technologies and software solutions
