Key Responsibilities

  1. PLC System Design & Automation (Schneider Modicon)
  • Develop and Design Architecture PLCs for Modicon M340, M580, M221/M241/M251 systems using EcoStruxure Control Expert or Machine Expert or any Aveva Software.
  • Integrate PLCs with SCADA systems commonly used in Cement, Water, and Oil & Gas (EcoStruxure GeoSCADA, Citect SCADA/Aveva Plant SCADA, EcoStruxure Process Expert etc.).
  • Implement communication using various prevailing industrial protocols viz. Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, CANopen etc.
  1. Automation Architecture & System Design
  • Design complete PLC system architecture for process-heavy applications-furnaces/kilns, grinding systems, compressors, pipelines, separators, blowers, pneumatic conveying, ESP systems, etc.
  • Develop network diagrams, redundancy schemes (RSTP, dual-ring networks, hot-standby PLC configurations).
  • Select appropriate hardware for harsh industrial environments (explosive atmosphere, high temperature, dust).
  1. Electrical & Control Cabinet Engineering
  • Design PLC panels, marshalling cabinets, junction boxes, and Control wiring layouts following Oil & Gas and Cement industry standards.
  • Create GA drawings, wiring schematics, cable schedules, terminal plans, and BOM.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, ATEX, IS/IECEx where applicable.
  1. Field Engineering & Commissioning
  • Troubleshoot field issues related to sensors, actuators, VFDs, PLC logic, wiring, and industrial communication.
  1. Instrumentation Engineering
  • Select instruments suitable for corrosive, dusty, or explosive atmospheres (H2S, hydrocarbons, cement dust).
  • Prepare datasheets, hook‑up drawings, and cable/loop diagrams.
  • Integrate smart instruments (HART, Foundation Fieldbus where applicable) with PLC/RTU systems.
  1. Documentation & Client Support
  • Prepare FDS, DDS, I/O lists, cause & effect matrix, test protocols, and as-built documentation.
  • Provide training to plant operators and maintenance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas standards (API, ANSI, ISA) and Cement process requirements.


Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
  • Schneider Electric certifications are an advantage.
