Manager - Drives Commissioning & Testing

Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning & Testing
- Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for LV drives (ATV/APM series preferred) and MV drives.
- Perform pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, loop checks, and energization
- Conduct drive parameterization, tuning, and optimization
- Lead site acceptance tests (SAT) and performance validation
- Customer Co-ordination
- Site handover to customer and LCS
- Technical Expertise and Core Competencies
Provide deep technical support on:
- LV Drives ( ATV, APM Series or equivalent)
- MV Drives (VFDs, LCI, VSI type systems)
- Troubleshoot issues related to:
- Drive hardware/software faults Control systems (PLC/DCS integration)
- Communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
- Analyse faults and implement corrective actions
- LV Drives (ATV/APM Series) Commissioning
- MV Drive Commissioning (VFD/LCI/VSI systems)
- Drive Parameterization & Tuning
- Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting
- PLC / DCS Integration
- Site Commissioning Coordination
- SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) Execution
- Electrical System Testing & Validation
- Industrial Communication Protocols
- Supervise site teams and ensure quality execution
- Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate with:
- Project managers
- Engineering teams
- Clients
- Manufacturing
- Quality
- Develop commissioning schedules and ensure adherence
- Manage manpower deployment and work progress tracking
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and review:
- Method statements & commissioning procedures
- FFR repots, MOM
- Test reports & checklists
- As-built documentation
- Monty score card
- Maintain records of commissioning activities and service reports
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with:
- Site safety regulations
- Electrical standards
- Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks before activities
- Service & Support
- Provide post-commissioning service support and troubleshooting
- Attend breakdown calls and ensure quick resolution
- Support AMC/service contracts for drives
- Drive repair
- 5-10 years in commissioning and servicing of LV & MV drives.
- Good communication with clients and teams
- Strong leadership and coordination ability
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
